Ok Blogger Buddies, I need yalls prayers!!

There is SO MUCH going on with my family right now that I had to post a Blog about it because Facebook doesnt have enough space!

First of all, I am in the middle of changing jobs! We are moving to Monticello and I have accepted a job at Drew Memorial. Well at the moment I am working 2 jobs! STRESSFUL! I start at Drew Memorial on Monday and finish up at Saline on Saturday! So next week I will be working five 12hour shifts! (Exhausting!) Not to mention I will be driving back and for from Monticello to Benton! (gas money)

SOOO Hudson doesnt go to Daycare yet, he is too spoiled. Well at the moment... ALL of my babysitters are unavailable! Here is the list and their drama's...

*My Mom- my stepdad went into the hospital in Monticello with chestpain and difficulty breathing. Well Dr. Simon sent him to LR Baptist Hospital to have a heart cath done 2 Fridays ago!. Heart cath came back perfect... THEN he started spiking this crazy high temp! 103~which is really high for an adult to run! So they did blood work, urine samples, brain scans, mri's, chest xrays..etc.! Couldnt figure out what was going on! Finally...last Friday (yesterday) A lung specialist came in and said they noticed some areas on his lungs on his PET Scan. So they think he has a fungal infection in his lungs...it is common for Farmer's to get. So they are 99% sure this is what it is. Yay its treatable! Well, they want to do a biopsy first and then start treatment... well they want to do the biopsy Monday! WHYYYY!!! Can we please just do it now!! So we are being patient and waiting until lastnight Larry was unable to get enough oxygen and his O2 levels began to drop! So now he is in the ICU with a 100% nonrebreather oxygen mask on! It is a good thing he is there because they can monitor him more closely but my mom is terrified! And she cant be with him at all times now! He is still doing about the same today... Im just wanting this Pulmonary Dr to get with it! I dont care if its the weekend or not! So please keep them in your prayers!!

OK, so next person..

*Alex's StepMom- She is my other main babysitter, well she tore something in her knee and had to have knee surgery! AHH!! SO she cant keep up with a wild toddler!!

*My Grandmommie- She keeps Hudson alot for me too! Well her MOTHER! Yes my Great Grandmother is still alive... Is in the hospital in Pine Bluff with Pneumonia! Grandmommie has not left her side! She stays at the Hospital 24/7!

*Alex and I both have to work! I have called in a couple days and so has he!

It has been so crazy! Also, Jarrod and Jordyn's(Larrys kids) Grandpa was taken to Pine Bluff hospital today by ambulance! Im not sure what is wrong with him yet!!

And to top it all off...HUDSON HAS THE FLU!!!!!!!!!!!!

So needless to say we have alot of drama coming in. Please keep my family in your prayers! We know God is in control...and the power of prayer is so amazing!

Huddys new talents!!

Hudson is growing and learning new things so fast I feel like I cant keep up!! It is so much fun watching him learn and explore! This is such a fun age!

He is pretty much eating all big boy food!! He still likes his gerber snacks but he eats mommy and daddy supper! He is not a picky eater at all so far either! He loves veggies just like Alex and I do! I had to work the past three days and Hudson went to Alexs dads in Mena... Alex met them in HotSprings lastnight to bring Hudson back so when I got off work I went by KFC and got us the family bucket! Hudson had some Gerber Ravioli's and then some mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and a bisquit from KFC! Its so cute watching him! He loves trying to use his fork and spoon too! He likes to do it himself! Ever since he has been home he has been saying MaMa too! FINALLY! LOL He has been saying DaDa for months! It makes me smile :)

The transition from bottle to sippy cup and formula to milk is going really well too! He uses the sippy cup all day and only takes a bottle at nighttime. I have been mixing half and half with formula and 2% milk and he is doing great with that too! Im so proud of him! Here is a pic of him and his Poppa... Alex looks JUST like his dad!! Hudson gives kisses too!!

One year ago yesterday Alex's sweet little sister "flew up to heaven on the wings of angels, past the stars and skies and past where no one sees and she walks with Jesus" We all miss her so much. Alex still has a hard time without her, it is comforting to know that we will see her again one day. Still keep him and his family in your prayers during this hard time.

I learned that yesterday was National Heart Day. So all of the nurses where I work, and I assume at other hospitals too wore red in honor of it. It reminded me of Sydni since she died of heart complications.

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys the SuperBowl!! Go Saints!!

Im copying Kasey's idea of posting her to do list! I also LIVE by my to do list! I make one almost every night before bed! LOL There is so much going on you kind of half to in order to keep up! So here is mine....

To Do List
*Pack Hudson's things.. he is going to Mena for a couple of days since I work Wed, THurs and Fri!
*Wash bed sheets (all other laundry I did today thank goodness)
*Make Dentist appointment to get cavities filled
*Brush my teeth needs to be here I assume from the above lol
*Make Hudson an appointment for his 1 year check up.
*Start dishwasher tonight/ unload in morning
* Get carpet cleaner, ladder, and dolly back from Hannah who borrowed.
* Call insurance about our roof leak.
*Get groceries from WM
*Mail tax info to our accountant
* Find a place to donate this random wheelchair that was left at our house when we bought it! (its in good shape if you know someone who needs one :) )
* Take bag of clothes from cleaning out closet to Salvation Army
* Run the 4runner through a carwash
*Get some stamps

That should keep me pretty busy tomorrow! WHEW!

Snowed in Weekend!!

Well, I guess the weather man was right this time! I was doubtful if it was really going to ice over this time since the past few times the news has planned for it, there has been not even a drop of ice on the windshield! Well, they proved me wrong! Hudson and I went to Star City Wednesday night because I had a Dentist appointment Thursday morning in Monticello. We ended up staying the night Thursday night too and by Friday the sleet started! I was too scared to drive that 1 1/2 hour drive back to LR with Hudson. I was scheduled to work Saturday and Sunday though! I spoke with my boss on Friday and she said to do whatever I thought was best. So I decided not to risk the drive and stayed in Star City on Friday night too. Alex drove down to Star City Friday and I rode back with him this morning! We ended up leaving Hudson with my mom because we had no idea what the roads would be like and for sure didnt want to get stranded or have a wreck with Hudson in the car. We got back to LR around 4:00 this afternoon. The roads were perfect from Star City to Pine Bluff... once we got into LR is when the roads became slushy and some ice patches. Overall it wasnt THAT bad. But I was definately I was riding with Alex and not driving myself!

So I will be at work for sure in the morning. Alex is going to take me :) Then my mom and Larry are going to bring Hudson back tomorrow and my vehicle as long as the roads are good. I think it is going to warm up to around 37 degrees tomorrow according to the weather man, so they should make it fine. Send a prayer up for them!

Hudson has this new habit of hitting in the face now! He does it in a playful way though that doesnt hurt, and he is laughing the whole time! Its cute, but I know if he was in daycare, it wouldnt be cute! LOL I am so thankful he doesnt have to go to daycare yet! Its good on my pocketbook too :) Well, he had a toy in his hand today when he started into his little "playful" hitting and busted mommys lip! O-M-G it hurt so bad I almost had tears! So now I have a big ol busted lip! He didnt mean to though of course. Hudson's NiNi and PawPaw got him a little recliner for his birthday, they had to order it so we just picked it up in Star City on our trip down there... Its so cute! Its leather, which is awesome because we can clean it easy! It has a little cup holder on it too! Its too cute! The sad thing is... Alex and I are both small enough that we can sit in it! HA!~

I applied to go back to school... boooo. I know if I dont just go ahead and make myself do it then I never will! I will start back in August (if im accepted) at UALR to get my Bachelor's degree in Nursing. ( I have my Associates now) The course is all online and my job will count as my clinical experience. Most hospitals do not have a pay difference in a RN with an Associates or Bachelor's degree. The reason I want to get mine is because there are so many more opportunities in the Nursing Field with your BSN. You can teach, and hold management positions. I definately want to teach clinicals on the side! I think that would be so fun! Also, in 5-10 years I want to get my Nurse Practitioner!

Alex and I are planning some big changes in our life and we are really excited about them! I dont want to disclose any information until we know for sure. We are praying about it right now and trying to let God lead us in our choices. I will share more info when we are more certain! (and no its not another baby, dont worry!) :) Just keep us in your prayers please!

Hope everyone enjoyed the snow and ice! Hudson didnt get out and play in it! He has had a sinus infection for 2 weeks now and we were not even thinking about risking that snot coming back!!

Oh-My-
My little sweet precious baby boy who I love more that ANYTHING in the entire world is 1 year old! I just cannot believe it! The night of his birth, January 16, 2009 at 6:06pm is still so fresh in my mind. I can remember almost every little detail. I will never forget the instant connection I had with Hudson when he arrived, and I will never forget the bond that Alex and I developed after that day. Alex was so supportive and strong, it made me realize how much we need each other.

Hudson has been the biggest joy and most wonderful gift that God could ever bless me with. What I have done to deserve such a wonderful blessing I will never know. All i know is that I will do everything I can for God to show my appreciation :)

We decided to have his party at Larry's Pizza in Bryant. We have so many family members that there was no way to have it at our house! We dont have very many friends that have children, so it was just mostly family! It turned out just perfect to me! My BFF Lindsay came over early and her and I went to Larrys Pizza and decorated and set everything up. Hudson was so excited! He loved the balloons! We brought his travel highchair from home so he could have a tray to put his smash cake on! His theme was trains! He had on the CUTEST little outfit with a vest with a train on it. THen His cake was a 3D train! All of our family came. And when I say all I mean ALLLLL. All the way down to Hudson's great grandparents! I was SO glad that everyone did too. They all had to drive from out of town. Alex and I both have divorced parents and those type of situations can get crazy sometimes when you get them all in a room together! HA! But I am so proud of my family, and Alex's. I am so thankful that we can all celebrate these occasions together and enjoy each other! It means so much to me to have both of my parents and step parents there on such a big day for our little family!

I was really glad we chose Larrys because they have the game room! The kids and adults that were there really enjoyed that! I think everyone had a really good time! Hudson got lots of gifts of course! My brother and sister in law got him this bulldozer thing that he is obsessed with! LOL He got some really cute clothes too. He really didnt need anything because you can imagine what all he got for Christmas! Its scary at our house! We need to add on! LOL

We had a smash cake for Hudson of course and he was Super excited about it! He wasnt all that messy with it though! He took his time just slowing eating with his hands haha I took off his shirt because the bright blue icing would have stained for sure! He was the cutest thing! When we all sang Happy Birthday he grinned from ear to ear! He loves being the center of attention!

The great part about it was, when it was all over, the Larrys Pizza crew cleaned up! That was awesome! Because you can imagine our mess! Everything turned out great! I was so pleased with the way it all went!! Here are some pictures from the party!

Once again I have waited almost a month to blog!! This month has been VERY busy for us!!! The holidays always are when you have 4 families to visit, that all live in 4 different places!! It gets pretty hectic!

The second week of December my moms side of the family (Mom, Larry, and us 4 kids and our husbands, bfs, kids, and all) all went to Garven Gardens in Hot Springs! It was my first time to ever go and it was so pretty!! Its amazing all the lights they have! Hudson was amazed! After about an hour of strolling he crashed out though! It was really cold but we were bundled up! It was alot of fun and probably something we will do again as a family!

I was scheduled to work on Christmas Eve, you know, the day we had the FLOOD! Literally! Well they put me on Stand by since we didnt have many patients. I ended up being off the whole day and Alex and I left Little Rock around 4 and were able to go to my Grandmothers in Monticello for Christmas. I was really excited because I didnt think I was going to be able to go! We spend the night Christmas Eve at my moms and had a wonderful Christmas morning! We did Santa and put all of Hudson's stuff out the night before and we videoed Christmas morning! It was alot of fun! Then that afternoon we headed to Mena to Alex's dads. We opened gifts with them that night and spent the whole next day with them, then headed to Texarkana to Alex's moms! We spent Saturday night and all day Sunday with them and then finally got home about 10pm Sunday night! It was exhausting I must say. And I get car sick unless I drive so I drove ALL WEEKEND! It was so much fun getting to see all of our family though! Hudson and Alex's little brother, Brayden, who is 2 had so much fun together! It was cute watching them play! Then yesterday my dad and step mom came up and we did our Christmas with them! We got lots of great gifts! I just love Christmas time!! I took a ton of pictures of course but I am on my brothers computer right now so I cannot upload but a couple of them! Check out my facebook for more!

I had to work New Years Day so our New Years Eve wasnt very exciting! Well, probably not to you guys anyway. It was to me! Ha We grilled steaks, twice baked potatoes, asparagus, and rolls! Just the 3 of us! After Hudson went to bed about 8pm Alex and I piled up in the recliner together and watched all the stuff going on in NY on Channel 7. I couldnt hang so I went to bed a little after 10. I told Alex to wake me up about 5minutes till 12 and I would watch the ball drop! Well, when he woke me up, I rolled back over LOL Just couldnt get up! So I worked New Years Day but I did eat my black eyed peas at the hospital! Alex was off work so him and Huddy got to spend some guy time together! I came home to a bathed baby, clean house, and a pizza on the way! It was nice :)

Well today we finally took down our Christmas Tree and all the decorations! Our living room looks so much bigger now! Ha! My dad built Alex a work bench for the garage and he is obsessed with it! He painted it last night and he has been out in the garage organizing stuff all day! It looks really good and Im happy for him! He has been needing it for a long time! He loves it.

Everyone has been talking about New Years Resolutions... I dont know what mine is. I dont know if I have ever done one. If I HAD to pick one I would say to work on my relationship with God. And to be a good wife and mother. But I shouldnt need a new year to make me want to do those things right?! 2009 was a rollercoaster for us. On January 16th we welcomed a new member into our family, a wonderful precious life that has changed us completely, Hudson! Then 2 weeks later on Febuary 5th we had to say goodbye to someone very precious and wonderful too. A life that meant so much to us and that we will forever miss, Alex's little sister 7 year old Sydni. It is hard for me because I had known Sydni for 3 years and had built a relationship with her and loved her so much. So if it is hard for me.. imagine how it is for Alex. He had such a hard time trying to be happy about having a son, and being sad about losing a sister. This year has been such a struggle for him, and us. One of the hardest things to do, for anyone, is to have to see someone that you love so much, hurt. Alex doesnt have to remind me of his pain, I know him well enough to see it. And it hurts me to know that there is nothing I can do to take it away. It is very painful. Alex is the kind of person who keeps things inside, he doesnt want you to feel sorry for him, or worry about him. I guess thats a guy thing though huh? This year has tested us in many ways. Tested our relationship with one another, tested our faith and trust in God, and tested us in ways that you didnt know you could be tested. We have learned just how strong we are, and how much we love one another and how strong we can be for one another. I am so thankful for God, because without the strength he brings and the comfort, we wouldnt be where we are today.We know that it will continue to be hard and continue to be a struggle trying to learn to live without Sydni but the comfort of knowing we will see her again is rewarding.

In a couple of weeks we will be celebrating Hudson's first birthday!! What a blessing he has been to our life! I cannot even explain how wonderful it is to be a parent! I just love that little boy so much!!! God has blessed our little family in so many ways. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with their families and the new year will bring everyone health, wisdom, and WEALTH! Lord knows we all need it :)

O-M-G where have I been!? I havent blogged in a month!! This is not good! Something will surely be left out after waiting this long!

Well we are SO ready for Christmas at The Harvey House! All the decorations are up and all gifts are bought, wrapped, and under the tree! I am so excited for everyone to get their gifts! I love buying gifts for other people! Well, I just love shopping in general, I dont really care who I'm buying for! Ha!

Thanksgiving just kind of came and went for us. I had to work the day of thanksgiving and the day after so we were not able to go to any of our families get togethers! It was sad. The first Thanksgiving I have missed in 22years! Hudson was at my moms since it was her week to babysit. So we let her take him home with her so she could get everything ready for dinner at her house. Alex and I had our own little dinner here at home together.

We have a very busy schedule for Christmas having to go to 4 different families who all live in 4 different places. Its going to be alot of time in the car Im thinking! Im scared to see what all Hudson is going to get!! LOL

Hudson is walking everywhere now! He is saying MaMa, DaDa, UhOh and Ella. He is so funny. He is eating lots of big boy food now too! He has 3 bottom teeth and 2 on there way on top! Alex and I are enjoying every minute we have with Hudson. He is the best thing that has ever happen to us! Even though we missed Thanksgiving, we didnt forget to remind ourselves of all the things we are thankful for. God has blessed us in so many ways!

Every Friday she does "5 Question Friday" So I am participating this week!

1. What is your dream job?

HOUSE WIFE! LOL Well, I LOVE my job, but my DREAM job would be something that you dont have to work very many hours a week but you get paid alot of money. So if anyone knows what that is, and if I can be it. Let me know.

2. What song could you play over and over?
Held- Natalie Grant. Beautiful song and I LOOOVEEE it! I love so many songs though... especially old school country songs that you know ALL the words to even though you havent heard it in like years! And I love anything by The Fray. And BTW Kasey, I have heard that song and your right, its the bomb! I love it too!

3. Do you prefer to talk on the phone or text (or email)?
I LOVE text messaging. Most of the time someone will call me and I wont answer. But if they text me right after, Ill text back. Its hard talking on the phone with a kid, they like to get loud and crazy right when the phone gets to your ear! LOL

4. What is your must have beauty product?
Mascara for sure. Cant leave the house without it!

5. What is your favorite Michael Jackson song?
THRILLER!!!!!!!!! For the same reason as Kasey, pom squad and cheerleading dances!! SO much fun!

Hudson's 1st Halloween!!

WELL, I searched and searched for Hudson the perfect costume. I really wanted him to be a monkey. Then my mom called me one day and she was in Old Navy and found a lion costume.. I told her to get it! I know ALOT of babies are lion's for their 1st Halloween. But I couldnt help it, it was too cute.

Friday morning Hudson had his 9 month check up... He is 22lbs 8oz! And 29 inches tall! Such a big boy! He has done so much this past weekend too! He has been jabbering baby talk for a while but nothing specific. Well all of the sudden he just woke up one morning talking! He says Dadadadadadadadadadada... its so cute! Then he said ELLA! My mom used to joke all the time that Ella would be his first word because we say her name so much. (Ella is my yorkie for those of you who are thinking WHO THE HECK IS ELLA) When he said it, it sounded like Lella, LOL! All I could do was laugh because it was so crazy and precious! Everything new that he learns almost brings me to tears because its so sweet. I just love him so much. I cannot explain it. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with a healthy baby.

So Saturday night we got Hudson in his lion costume and my brother came out, and our friend Lindsay and her husband and their 2 little boys, and my friend Kelley! I made tacos and cheese dip and halloween cookies! The boys played like wild hooligans of course! Their youngest son, Colby, was also a lion and Dawson was a skeleton! Hudson loves other kids! He had the best time following them around and playing! We had lots of trick or treators come by! Ella chewed them all out of course.

On Sunday we just layed around and enjoyed each other. We got out the video camera and filmed Hudson playing and talking! He has been taking a few steps here and there but nothing major. Well while we were filming he took 10 STEPS!! Yes, 10!!! Ever since then he takes 6-10 steps randomly throughout the day! He is just getting so big!

I went to work on Monday and just felt yucky. I had felt yucky over the weekend too but just blew it off. But Monday at work I was just feeling worse. I talked to one of the Dr's and he ordered some blood work to be done. After getting that back signs pointed to an infection, and anemia! I had a low grade fever so they sent me home. Mom was at our house watching Hudson so I told her to go ahead and take him home with her just in case I was contagious. I layed in bed all afternoon and woke up at 4 this morning feeling horrible. So I called in to work. I went to see my Primary Care Doctor today and turns out I have a bladder infection. I got a Rocephin shot and some oral antibiotics. So hopefully I will be able to go to work tomorrrow, I hate missing. When I miss one day its like missing a day and a half for the average person since mine are 12 hours shifts. Plus I just feel bad because I know they are super busy! I have been sleeping all day. Alex has been taking care of me :) He got me some juices and medicine at walmart last night, gave me a back rub, and rented me some movies! He came home and fixed me lunch and now is cooking supper. I am lucky to have him! Hudson will be coming home tomorrow since I know I am not contagious! I just hope I dont have to take care of any flu patients tomorrow! My doctor said she recommended that I stay home because my Lymphocytes were so low which means my immune system is low and more succeptible of getting sick! Ahh!

I have been following Jessica's blog since she started!! Her and Craigen have the CUTEST little boy!! You all need to go and look at his halloween costume!! Precious! She also is on top of this flu season prevention and she posted some good tips if you have kids! Their son Cash and Hudson are almost the same age.. I think they are a month apart! So I enjoying seeing her pictures and post's about Cash growing because Hudson is right behind him!

Jodie Waldron has a beautiful 2 month old baby girl!! She is so adorable and her pictures are too cute! She is a new blogger and I really enjoy her posts!

MckMamma, I know will not be able to reply to this post because she is very busy with her sick baby right now. If you do not follow this blog it is a MUST. Her son, Stellan, is ill with a heart defect and her blog is so inspiring. My heart is so heavy for their family and I pray for them daily. She is such a strong mother and wife. And she has beautiful children. Little Stellan is a miracle and it is very rewarding to be able to be involved in her story.

FALL is HERE!

The weather has been so nice (minus all the rain) lately! I love the cooler weather and the excitement of fall clothes! Hudson has so many cute outfits that I have been so anxious for him to wear! I, on the other hand have NOTHING! Last year at this time all I wore were jogging suits because I was big and preggo! So I have cleaned out my closet and am ready to refill it! I have been saving up some extra cash so that I can splurge a little. :) Alot of new things have taken place in the Harvey House lately!

Hudson is growing like a weed! He stands up all by him self and has really good balance! He will take a couple of steps if you are close to him or if he wants something close to him but thats it. I think he could walk if he wanted to but he's just not ready, and Im not going to rush him! He is already into EVERYTHING as it is! He waves "Bye Bye" and claps his hands too! It is so cute! We took him to the Pumpkin Patch here in LR this past weekend! It was too cute. It was Alex's first time to ever go also! We looked at the animals in the petting zoo and Alex fed them some food, Hudson was amazed! Then we road the hay ride, Hudson wasnt really aware that we were being pulled by a tractor and all! He was too involved with waving at the other little kids and playing in his diaper bag HA! But it was neat, this place has a Christmas Tree farm too so the hay ride took us down through all the trees! Hudson got to pick out a free pumpkin from the bucket of little ones. Then Alex and I picked out to large ones to carve! It took forever to pick out the pumpkins! Alex was running around that place wild! Picking up every pumpkin and checking it out! Those of you who know him well can picture this Im certain! Hudson and I decided to sit at the picnic tables and have a yogurt snack while Daddy looked around! Finally he found the perfect 2! Unfortunately I didnt check my camera batteries before we left and realized that it was dead once we arrived. SO ANNOYING!!! So the only pictures I have are from my phone! Here are a few...

We had alot of fun hanging out together! Hudson is going to be a Lion for halloween! Our Church is having a big festival that we are going to go to! We were also invited to a hallween carnival that a girl I know is throwing! She has a little boy also!

We went to Mena a couple weekends ago so that Alex could go bow hunting! Alex, his dad, and brother stayed at the deer camp all weekend and Dana, Hudson and I hung out! We had alot of fun! Aunt Darla highlighted my hair and put some low lites in! Then we went shopping in Fort Smith and I started on my Christmas Shopping! We ate out and just shopped till we dropped! We got home around 10! Hudson was exhausted! Then we went to Church Sunday morning and the boys came in that afternoon! Noone had any luck with a deer yet! We are going to have Family Pictures made the first week of November in Mena at a place called Sweet Peas! She took my maternity pictures and has taken pictures of Hudson too! I am excited!! Alex took off work for 1 week to hunt starting opening day! I am going to go out and sit on the stand with him some too! I will not be killing anything though! I think its so great that he and his Dad are really building their relationship!

Other big news... We bought a truck! It has come time that we take over all of our own bills, well Alex's mom has been paying his truck note all this time. We decided it would be best, under circumstances I'd rather not mention related to his "old" truck, that we bought a new one and started over! Well I say new, I mean new to us! He picked out a silver Z71 extended cab! It is really nice and we got a great deal on it! I am VERY pleased with our payment plan as well! We got really lucky. Alex loves the truck too and of course has already done so much to it and has more ideas. He enjoys fixing up his vehicles....we all know this! But I cant complain... he lets me shop when I want to! I think I will be getting a new vehicle around Christmas time :) That suprise will be mentioned in a few months! Gosh, Christmas is coming up quick!

We are having a cook out with friends tomorrow night, and planning to go to the Zoo on Saturday if it doesnt rain!! Fingers Crossed!!

Alot has been going on here in the Harvey House! September has been a busy month for us! Seems like we have had plans every weekend!!

First off, we went downtown to Big Whiskeys to watch the Hogs! We had alot of fun! We got to see lots of friends that we hadn't seen in a while! The game was good and the Hogs won so that made it even better!! I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping we are going to have a good season!! Hudson went and stayed with my mom and he wore his Razorback jersey too!!

This past weekend we went to Star City/Monticello to visit my family and celebrate my mom's birthday! Hudson and I went down on Friday, Alex had to work so he and Ryan drove down on Saturday! Friday night we went to watch the Billie play Warren and watch Jordyn cheer! Monticello has a good team this year. Also, they finally beat Warren!!! Hudson did not like all the yelling and screaming in the bleechers so me and mom took him down by the concession stand and stood for the remainder of the game! The weather was rainy and yucky too :( Saturday Hudson and I went over to visit some of my dads family and he got to play with some of his little cousins! We had a good time and then headed back to moms to cook for her birthday! We had a shirt airbrushed for Hudson to wear that said "Happy Birthday NiNi" it was so cute!! And we gave her one of those digital picture frames that holds up to 3000 pictures! It is so neat.. I really want one for our house! It was great getting to see everyone!

Saturday night is when Hudson started getting sick! He felt warm and was really fussy around after waking up around 12:00. So I took his temperature and it was 101.7!! He was up off and on all night! Then Sunday he was all stopped up! He wouldnt even take a bottle because his nose was so stuffy!! Now before when I have said "Hudson is sick" it was never anything like this! This is for sure the first time he has actually be SICK! Poor baby has felt horrible! Dana came down on Sunday night to keep him while I worked this week. Monday morning I called and made him a Dr Appt! My boss and the people I work with are so great that they allow me to leave and take Hudson to the Dr! Turns out he had a head cold, and small ear infections in both ears!! He is doing much better now though and hasnt ran a fever since Monday morning. All of the drainage is starting to break up and dry up which is causing him to have a horrible cough. But he is playing and drinking and happy as can be! I think Alex and I were WAY more upset about it than Hudson was! I was a wreck! LOL

Wednesday night when I got off my mom, Grandmommie, and Aunt Leslie came by here and we made a big poster for them to take on GOOD MORNING AMERICA!! They left for NYC on Thursday morning and they were on GMA this morning! The sign was so cute and they were shown on TV alot!! Pretty Cool. They are having a great time!

Tonight we are going out to dinner and bowling with some friends! Hudson is staying with Sarah, his babysitter at our house for the first time alone! She has kept him alot during the summer while Kelley and I layed out, but she was just right inside and I was there! I know she will do fine and Hudson loves her! I am just thankful that we have someone we trust that can keep him for a few hours so we can have some time together! I havent been bowling since before Hudson was born! No telling how this is going to turn out! Ha!

Next weekend we are going to Texarkana for a wedding! We havent been down since May so its a much needed trip. I am excited for his family to get to see Hudson.

Well as you all know Deer Season is quickly approaching us! And let me just say this household is getting pretty excited! Alex has already gotten out all of his gear and checked it over and ordered some new stuff! Hudson has been wearing his "Daddys Little Hunter" camo hat almost everyday..(thanks to his daddy) Hudson has some camo overalls, boots, bib, hat, and who knows what else! Alex was added to his Dads hunting lease in Mena! So he is planning on going down for the whole first week and staying and then every other weekend after that! Hudson and I are going to tag along and hang out at the camp with Dana!! I plan on going out and sitting on the stand with Alex too! I am for sure not going to shoot anything! But Ill go scope them out!!

Hudson and I are playing at home today on this rainy day!!! Hope everyone is having a good week!!

We have all been very busy but we are all doing great! Hudson has mastered the crawling thing and he is already wanting to walk! I got my first big paycheck last week so I promised him he could get a new toy :) Well we went to Wal-Mart and picked out one of those toys where he can stand up and hold on to it and push it and walk with it. Sounds confusing but Im sure all you moms can picture this in your heads! Anyways... it says 9+ months but I couldnt resist it. After a couple of days he has it figured out! He pulls up on it and pushes it while walking all over the house! It is so cute! It looks funny because he is only 7months so it just looks unusual seeing him walking behind it! Ha! Of course he cannot walk yet... he can just walk while supporting himself on the toy! It is his new favorite for sure! I bet he will be walking early. Alex started walking at 8months so he thinks Hudson is going to take after him in that area! We shall see! Other new with Hudson, he has been sick! This is the first time he has been sick and had to go to the "sick" area in the Dr. Office!! He has had a cough for about a week and it just seemed to progressively get worse. He also had a little rash around his eyes that doesnt bother him at all but it doesnt look pretty and its just not normal for him. Dana was watching him this Mon, Tues, and Wed while I was working so I made him an appt with his doctor for Wednesday morning. My amazing boss let me leave and go meet them at the Dr too. His doctor says she thinks that the rash is some sort of irritation from him crawling and into more things now and then touching his eye. Something has irritated it. Of course there is not much you can do for a baby around the eye because of the risk of any creams getting in the eye. So she said to let that run its course and just keep an eye on it. Then she gave him an antibiotic for the cough. You would never know he is sick. He is still eating like a pig and playing hard! He is so sweet, he loves to snuggle and just hug on you. I am going to miss that when he gets bigger! He has 2 teeth on the bottom now!! Its so cute! I havent been able to get a good picture showing them off yet though!

Alex has been working like usual! They have stayed busy at Landers thank goodness! I know alot of people are losing jobs and having trouble during this regression and we are so thankful that Landers stays at the top! Alex was off this past Saturday and we had his sister Sutton and his brother Brock come down and stay the weekend with us! We had alot of fun with them and I know Alex was happy to have them here! We grilled burgers and went to the movies and went shopping. Alex's family is still having a rough time with the loss of Sydni so we were glad Sutton was able to get away and spend some time with us. When I got home from work on Wednesday there were 2 guys here talking to Alex about a Security System for our home. I was totally against it at first because I was tired and didnt want to pay big money for that. Well after talking to them about it they totally sold me. It was a great deal and a low, fixed rate each month that we would be paying! It monitors all the windows and doors and when we are not home there is a motion detector on. We also got those keychains where you can set them alarm from outside when you leave and turn it off when you pull up to the house. Also when we are home and the alarm is not set, we can set it to where when any door opens it beeps twice just to alert us that a door is open. That will be great when Hudson gets older and trys to go outside without me knowing!! Its pretty neat and definately worth the safety of my family.

Well I am still LOVING my job! I am really getting the hang of it and taking multiple patients alone now. It is so rewarding to recieve these patients and then send them home a few days later knowing that I have helped them improve and become independent again. My patients have complimented me so much saying I was a great nurse and that they recieved great care. And family members have thanked me for being so kind and caring to their loved ones. It means so much to me. I still love everyone that I work with also. A new girl started this past week and she just graduated also. So there are alot of us in our 20's working together so its so much fun! And they all have small children too so we all have alot in common. Its great!!

I am a working woman now so I cannot blog as often as I used to! I REALLY like my job a lot so far! I work every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and then I am off on Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun!! How awesome is that? I love all of the people that I work with and everyone is so helpful and fun! I have learned SOOOO much already! The unit that I work on is care for patients after they have surgery... and its just a general medsurg floor so anyone who is sick (with like pneumonia, car wreck, stomach problems, snake bite, etc.) and their doctor wants to admit them to the hospital.. they come to our floor. So our patients stay for 2 to 3 days and then we send them home! It is such a busy unit that the day goes by really fast! I love that. I havent gotten a pay check yet, I get paid next week so I am pretty excited about that too!!!

Alex has been really helpful on the days I work, since I get home at 7 he has had supper ready when I get home! We went to walmart before I started and stocked up on everything and we got some quick/easy meals that he could prepare on the days that I work! Dana kept Hudson this week while I worked, she brought him up to see me on Tuesday which I loved!

Today Lindsay and I went swimming at Jane Jo's pool! I had Hudson of course and she had her two bonus sons! It was alot of fun. I think the kids wore themselves out so hopefully they will all sleep good tonight :)

Hudson is crawling so fast all over the place and is in to everything now!! We are working on learning what "no, no" means! LOL Its not going very well! He has one tooth on the bottom and a second one coming any day now! He also had to move to a new class at Church! We went to BabiesRUs this morning and got him a big boy car seat! The doctor said it was time!

Well Hudson is attacking the computer as Im typing this so I have got to wrap it up!! Hope everyone is doing good!!

According to our raingauge we have already gotten almost 4inches of rain! GOSH!

Nothing special has been happening this week! Except that Hudson is crawling all over the place now!! I am trying to enjoy my last week of freedom!! I am really going to miss waking up every morning and having nothing to do except spend all day with my sweet baby boy! Well I take that back, I have LOTS to do... just no schedule. I can do them whenever I please! :) Its great and very much taken for granted! But like I said in previous posts, I am super excited about starting my job! I have had the passion to be a nurse since I was little bitty and I cannot wait to get out there and do it!

Monday Hudson, Lindsay, and I drove to Star City to pick up the furniture that I ordered back in April! For my birthday Mom and Larry let me pick out a bed and dresser and agreed to pay half and Alex and I pay the other half! Well there is a great place in between Star City and Monticello called "Slingerlands" its a family run business and it looks junky but its great! I looked through an Ashley furniture magazine and picked out what I wanted and he ordered it and sold it to us for WAAAYYYY cheaper! We got a great deal and a beautiful bed and dresser! I have been wanting a headboard forever because our bed was only on a frame. And then we really need the drawer space of a dresser, we have a nice size walk in closet but Alex and I both have lots of clothes. You know how guys accumulate so many tshirts over the years! I am IN LOVE with the new furniture! Our room really looks comfy and so put together now.

Tuesday I went to lunch with an old friend whom I have missed so much! It has been way too long since Ashley and I have hung out and it was great catching up!It was her first time to see Hudson too! Now that we live closer hopefully we can spend more time together! Tuesday afternoon Hudson and I met Dana in HotSprings and we shopped around of course! One of Alex's aunts owns a Medical Supply store in HotSprings so we went there to see her and get me some new scrubs for work! I have lots of different colors that I have gotten the past 2 years, but unfortunately at Saline the Registered Nurse's can only wear Navy Blue or White! The 2 colors I dont have! Its really a neat thing that they do at Saline though, all of the RNs will wear Blue or White; the LPNs will wear a pink color; the XRay people wear Red and so on. That way the patient can know who is a nurse and who isnt. I would like that if I was a patient. After we were done shopping Hudson went with Dana to visit for a couple days!

Last night Alex and I went to the movies to see The Proposal! I have been wanting to see it forever! It was so good toO!!

Today Kelley and I got out in this nasty rain. I had to get some nice picture frames for the pictures that we had made of Hudson. Also GiGi's birthday is coming up so I wanted to get her a gift. Once we got back to the house me and Kelley layed up in the bed and watched tv!!! It felt so good to just have NOTHING to do! I loved it! The rain just makes me want to be lazy anyways.

Well Alex just got home from work, Iv got to start supper and he rented a movie! We are staying in tonight and watching a movie! We really like watching movies if you havent noticed :)

I took my State Boards Exam for Nursing last Wednesday and PASSED!!! I am so relieved!!! All the tests and studying is finally over!! I am now officially a licensed Registered Nurse!! It is hard to believe! I feel like I went through hell and back to get this and I just want to shout it from the mountain tops! When I look back at what all has happened over the last year I am shocked at where I am today. I know that I was able to overcome all of the obstacles because of the relationship I have with my God, my husband, my family, and my friends! I am so thankful for all that they have done!

This next week is my last week of freedom, then I will be a working woman! I am excited about getting a paycheck but I am sad about leaving Hudson! These past 6 months have been awesome getting to stay home with him. But it is only reality that I start work :(

So.. BIG news... today Hudson started crawling!! He has been scooting around for about a week now and making one forward movement then falling on his belly, but today he took off! He isnt very fast but he is moving! We got the video camera out and recorded it! We have been trying to video alot, especially when he reaches a new milestone so that we will be able to look back and show him one day!

One of his bottom teeth has broken through the gums and he has been fussy! I know it hurts :( He didnt sleep well at all last night, it seems like we were up almost every 30 minutes... at around 5:30 I just ended up putting him in bed with us and then he slept until 9! Spoiled rotten. They said he did great in the nursery at church and he took a long nap once we got home. This afternoon he hasnt been feeling good though! He acts sleepy but you can tell his teeth are bothering him and he just cannot get comfortable! So while Alex was weed-eating the front yard, Hudson and I went strolling around the neighborhood and he was out in about 5 minutes! Kelley and I keep saying we are going to start walking and never do... so today I made myself and it was nice... it wasnt too hot today. Hopefully Kelley and I will make it a regular thing!

Alex was off this Saturday so we had 2 full days in a row together! It was great! Saturday we took Hudson to Playtime Pizza... its kind of like Chucky Cheese but alot bigger and cooler! He is still pretty young for it though, they had a little kid section but he wasnt very interested! Someone was having a birthday party too and it was PACKED! After we left there we went and ate Chinese at Panda Garden and then strolled around the Shakelford shopping center. We ended up going in BabiesRUs-Big Mistake- and got Hudson a new toy and an outside swing to go on the swingset!! Alex is just like a big kid, so when u get him in a toy store... its crazy! LOL Hudson loves the new toy though of course. And this afternoon we pushed him in the swing outside... he loves everything outside so I knew he would love that! We got a free swingset and Alex repainted it and set it up in our backyard! It is big, with lots of different things to do on it. Its probably not something I would pick out, but since it was FREE we couldnt turn it down! Once he gets big we will get a nicer one Im sure! Well here are some pics from our weekend!

I have got to get to studying but I just couldnt resist a quick post!

First off, Friday I got a call from Saline and was offered the job I wanted!! I immediately accepted and I am so excited! Right when I stepped onto the unit for my interview, the atmosphere was just what I wanted! I really feel like this is where God wants me to be! I start August 3rd! I cannot wait! However, I am going to miss Hudson so much! But at least it will only be 3 days a week! My mom and Alex's step mom are going to rotate weeks keeping him! So that makes it ten times easier! I am just not ready for him to attend daycare yet. Plus I know they are SO excited about getting to keep him too! Saline is not far from our house either so they can come eat lunch or supper with me in the cafeteria sometimes too!

Hudson had a Dr Appt Friday morning at 8:30.. I have no idea why I scheduled it so early! But it worked out well bc Alex was able to come! Hudson now weighs 18lbs 10 oz!! The Dr said it will be time for a new carseat soon! Ours only goes up to 22lbs! It is hard to believe he is 6months old. She said he looked great and has met all of his milestones. She was shocked by how well he is sitting up on his own! She said usually they expect a 6month old to be able to balance for a couple minutes but he can sit up for long periods without losing balance! You know we were proud :) He had to get 3 shots but he did great.

I met my mom in Pine Bluff Friday afternoon and she took Hudson home with her. Larry farms so he has been working late hours non stop and hasnt gotten to see Hudson in a while! Also my big test is coming up Wednesday so I needed some study time as well! Friday night Alex and I went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then to see "The Ugly Truth." We were celebrating me getting the job! Then Saturday while Alex was at work I met Dawson at the library and studied from 10-4! I am feeling pretty confident about this test, but that makes me more nervous! Last night Alex and I grilled steaks, corn, and twice baked potato's! We even threw on a hotdog for Ella! LOL It was great getting to spend some time together but we sure are missing Hudson!

We went to Church this morning and then to lunch! Now I am getting ready to do some studying and then I am heading to Star City to see my little man! Alex has to work tomorrow so he cant join us. :(

I have been busy! We had a great week in Branson! Got to do lots of fun stuff and it was great for Me, Alex, and Hudson to get to spend lots of time together! I know Alex misses him alot when he is at work! Soon I will be too :( We had a good time but it was nice to get back home! Alex has just been working as usual.. in this HEAT! I feel so bad for him because it has been sooo hot lately! He is tough though! Also, Hudson is fixing to cut some teeth and our nights have been rough. Alex and I usually rotate feedings which will only cause us to get up once a night each.. well with a fussy teething baby it has been more frequent! So we are both sleep deprived not to mention Alex is drained from the heat as well! I had 2 interviews yesterday at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton! I interviewed with a MedSurg nurse and with a Critical Care Nurse! It definately made me feel good to get 2 interviews and to get to check out 2 different areas that I was interested in! The interviews went great! I LOVE that hospital. I know everyone has there place and their calling as to where they should work and I really feel like Saline is for me. Definately a good place to start out. They had great benefits and salary offers as well. I am very excited! Hopefully I will get a call! "Fingers Crossed!!"

This past weekend my BFF Lindsay came up from Monticello to spend the night Sat and Sun! I have missed her SO much! Saturday night Lindsay, Kelley, Kandance, and Hudson and I went to eat at Chili's and then came back to our house to have girl talk! Alex spent the night with his friend Vinnie since his wife was out at a bachelorette party. Lindsay and Hudson and I got up and went to Church Sunday morning. The message was really good. He preached about Knowing who you are. Not thinking to highly of yourself than you should but also not thinking to little of yourself. Also, how you shouldnt surround yourself with people who bring you down, and make you someone your not, but that you should pray for those. It really meant alot to me and I felt like it was something that I have been needing to apply to my life.

Sunday afternoon we had a cookout with some of our friends! I love having good friends over and just hanging out, low key! Dawson came who I havent had a chance to see in forever since he is in Nursing School this summer! Ryan came and Kelley and Lindsay! We had a really good time! Then Alex and I wanted to rent a movie after everyone left but there was not many options. He ended up picking something and I played on the computer instead!

Hudson is going for his 6month check up on Friday! I cannot believe it has already been half of a year! I am so thankful that this journey has been as great as it has! I know having a child at mine and Alex's age can put a strain on your relationship and definately be hard. But we are doing so great and we are so happy! I feel like Hudson has only brought us closer and made us cherish our time alone!

We went to Mena for the weekend to visit Alex's dad and family and when Alex and I came home Monday morning we left Hudson! He stayed Monday night and Tuesday night with them! It felt like forever! Dana wanted to have some pictures made of Hudson in a Steeler's outfit because Alex's dad is a die hard Steeler's fan! They have recently closed in their garage and made it a Steeler's Paradise! It is a really cool game room for the guys! So she had some PRECIOUS pictures made of Hudson in a Steeler's onesie and took lots of props that they have collected over the years (they seriously have everything Steeler's you could think of)! The pictures turned out really cute and she had one blown up to put out in the game room! It is a suprise for Marty! I cant wait to see it!

When Alex and I got back on Monday he had to go to work. Bummer. I had alot of errands to run and so did Kelley so she and I loaded up! We went to lunch and then drove all over LR it seemed like! I had to pick up my diploma and get a reference from one of my teachers at the school, then go get a new Social Security card with my married name on it (yeah i JUST now did that, we have almost been married for a year) and then Kelley is looking for a "study chair" to go in her room so we drove to every store you can think of looking for the perfect one..never found it. LOL Monday night Alex and I went to the movies to see Transformers 2. Then Tuesday I cleaned house and got stuff done around here and Tuesday night Alex and I went over to Kelleys and we grilled burgers with Lacey and her bf Tyler and Kelley and Kandace! We had a really good time!

Yesterday morning I couldnt wait to see Hudson! Jordyn, Kelley, and I drove to HotSprings and met Dana! 2 days just seemed like forever! Alex and I missed him so much! We ate lunch at AppleBees in HotSprings and Hudson sat in a high chair! That was his first time to do that in a restaurant!! He is just getting so big! Last night my dad was in LR for tennis practice for his upcoming tournament. They were practicing at OtterCreek right down the road from our house so we drove down there to say hi and watch him in action! Very impressive!

I think I said in a previous blog how my mom is treating me to a trip to Branson for my graduation gift! Well we are leaving tomorrow morning and coming home Wednesday! Alex is off work and we are so excited! My mom is staying Friday-Sunday so that Alex and I can go to some shows Fri and Sat night! Then Sun-Wed it will just be our little fam! I know Alex is excited for some time off and to get to spend the whole day with Hudson instead of just nighttime! It is going to be alot of fun!

Something on my mind-Alex's mom is having a really hard time since Sydni passed away. It has only been a few months, she really needs your prayers. I know that Alex and Sutton are really worried about her. It is too painful to even IMAGINE what she is going through. We just feel like we are losing her. Your prayers would mean so much.

Hudson can ALMOST sit up by himself. He balances pretty good for a short while. So the other night Alex and I decided we should take his net out of the bathtub and let him sit up in it! He was SO excited! It was so funny! He just couldnt contain himself! He was splashing all around and playing with toys!He stayed in the bath so long that his toes were pruney!! He wears big boy boxers to sleep in too! Dana gave us the boxers, I dont know where she found them but I think its so cute! We have been using our video camera alot more lately so that we can capture all these precious moments! After his bath Alex read him a book before bed. It was so sweet! Here are some cute pics...

Father's Day!

Alex said this was the BEST Father's Day ever! LOL He said "I know this was only my first one, but I seriously had the best Father's Day" It made me smile :) I brought him coffee in bed and made him breakfast... then once he got up he opened his gift from Hudson. He got a shirt that says "Dads Garage Open 24 Hours" which he loved and wore right after church, then Ella got him a package of sour candy, and I got him a Bradford Pear Tree to plant in our front yard in remembrance of Sydni and in honor of Hudson, and an umbrella for our outside table because we love to grill and we have NO coverage and it gets so hot! I also found this cool lights that you can connect to the umbrella at Lowes and had to have them too... this gift was probably more for me than him but he really liked it too! It looks really good on our deck too. Then I also got him a thermometer and rain gauge for outside. Alex likes anything that has to do with outside! He loves all of his gifts and I am so glad!

My dad rode his motorcycle up this morning and went to Church with me and Alex! Then after Church Ryan came over and we grilled burgers! Dad opened his gifts from us and from Ryan too which Im pretty sure he liked! He is practicing for the big tennis match he has coming up so Alex, Hudson, and I got him a Nike outfit he can wear and Ryan got him a giftcard to a tennis shop! Hudson took a long nap this afternoon too so we all just sat around and watched tv and relaxed! I have been reading the book "My Sisters Keeper" so thats what I did! The movie comes out Friday and I gotta have the book finished by then! After my dad left we played with Hudson and Alex tinted our front door window to help keep some of the sun out. We have wanted to do it for a while but just never got around to it.

Well I got so caught up on telling you about our Father's Day I forgot all about the rest of our weekend!! We have actually been celebrating all weekend! Friday night Alex and I grilled Shishkabobs and had a beer together after Hudson went to bed! That was our celebration just the two of us! Then Saturday my mom and Larry came up and we went to dinner at Copelands! It was soooo good! I absolutly LOVE that restaurant! So we were completely stuffed when we got home and had rented a movie.. well after Hudson went to bed we put in our movie and we were out!

WOW has it been hot lately!! I have wanted to lay out but the heat index is almost unbearable! I hardly ever burn and the last time I layed out my little nose got blistered! AND I had put sunscreen on my face! I want Hudson to be able to enjoy the pool but it is just way to hot for his fragile skin! My mom came up on Tuesday and we went shopping around for Father's Day presents! Then she took Hudson home with her for the night!On Wednesday I had to go to the State Board of Nursing Office and turn in some paperwork and fill some things out and I didnt want to have to lag Hudson around with me, plus Alex and I got Traveler's tickets from Kelley's Aunt and we could have taken Hudson but I am SO GLAD that we didnt! It was SO HOT!!You can tell from the pic of me and Alex at the top! That was after the game and we were SWEATY! Once it got dark it was fine but at 6:30 it was beamin down! Mom hasnt gotten to see him in a while and I knew she would be excited to keep him! I think it is very important for Alex and I to go out together especially since we are still so young. We saw lots of our friends at the game too! We had alot of fun!

I met mom in PB on Wednesday for lunch and brought Hudson back! He can roll over both ways now and can sit up without support for a short while! He is sleeping so good too.. He went to bed at 9 lastnight and didnt get up until 4:30 to eat! We were pretty excited!

Well this weekend is Alex's first Father's Day! Yay! I would tell ya what I got him but sometimes he gets on here and reads my blog so its too risky! You'll have to wait! :) We are just laying low tonight because Alex has to work in the morning. Tomorrow night my mom and Larry are coming up and we are going to dinner with them and Ryan. Then Sunday my dad going to ride his motorcycle up early and go to our Church up here and then we are going to Grill Burgers at our house!

I have soooo been enjoying not working and being able to spend time with my baby! I have started applying for jobs though... I want to start working at the end of July. My mom is taking me and Alex and Hudson to Branson as my graduation gift. We are going the first week in July... so that is the main reason I havent rushed into a job. I have applied for some positions at UAMS though so keep your fingers crossed I will get an interview!

Not much has been going on with us! We had a low key weekend... Someone gave us a free swingset and Alex and I decided we wanted to paint it before we got it all set up. Hudson really isnt big enough for a swingset yet, but I know we can get a baby swing to put on it and at about 6months he should be able to use that. But we also have a few friends with kids so I thought it would be something fun for them to do when they come over as well. Plus, it was free! So anyway, Alex and my brother worked on that this weekend, they painted it blue and put it together and I cooked them supper in return! My dad has been in Little Rock alot lately because he is playing on a tennis team and him and my step mom, Kara, were up here Saturday for a tennis match and we all went to lunch. Congrats to my dad for winning this weekend also! His team is now in the Finals!

Sunday Hudson, Alex, and I went to Church and then to lunch in Bryant! We did some yard work and house work and just stayed around the house. Yesterday I went to Kelley's aunts house in Alexander and Kelley, Kandace and I layed out all afternoon and Kelley's younger cousin watched Hudson! Hudson got in the pool for a little while but he wasnt too crazy about it! I thought he was going to LOVE it but he seemed a little confused! Ha! So we will have to try again next time.

My mom is coming up today to visit and we are going shopping! I feel like I havent seen her in forever! I am so used to her being here at least once a week, if not more while I was in school! So I am really excited to see her today. Kelley's aunt gave Alex and I tickets to the Travelers game tonight also! So we are going with Kelley and her guy "friend". Im excited! We have been wanting to go to a game but I didnt want to take Hudson since it is so hot and just uncomfortable for a 5month old. But mom offered to babysit since she hasnt gotten to see him in so long!

Lindsay's Wedding was absolutely beautiful!! She looked gorgeous of course and I loved our bridesmaid dresses! Long, black, sweetheart neckline...very flattering to all shapes and sizes :) It was so much fun getting to see all of my highschool friends! We had the rehearsal dinner Friday night and then all of us girls stayed at Lacey's... then Saturday was the big day! I didnt have my camera with me so I dont have any pictures but hopefully there will be some posted on facebook that I can get copies of! This was only my 3rd time to meet Lindsay's now Husband, David. He really seems like a great guy though, I am truely happy for her!

Alex came down Saturday when he got off work and we went out to the reception together. We didnt stay out too late though, I was tired from a full day of wedding stuff and he was tired from work. Plus we didnt know many of Davids friends so it wasnt as fun for us! Then Sunday we headed back to Little Rock.

Alex was off on Monday so we had a family day! We didnt do much but it was still fun! Alex has been so helpful lately with Hudson! At first he would do things if I asked him to, but now its like he is wanting to do it all. He thinks its hilarious feeding Hudson the baby food, its very messy but thats okay! And he has even started giving him his baths! I am LOVING all of this help :) ANNNNNDDD the main thing is....He gets up with Hudson at the first feeding at night!! This is a miracle! Ha! So Hudson goes to bed around ten and gets up at 3 and Alex feeds him and puts him back to bed then I get up with him for the day at 7! It is wonderfuL! I know it was hard at first because he has had such a hard time with the loss of Sydni. But he is doing so great and I am so proud of him. It is definately still extremely hard for him but he is really looking at it the right way. He says he wants to start living his life right and being more involved with church. It makes me so happy.

It has really been a tough 4-5 months for us and things are really starting to brighten up! I am so happy with my life right now. I am so thankful for my family. Alex is seriously my other half. We are so different but I think it makes us level each other out. He has such a big heart and he makes me laugh every day! With school having me constantly stressed out, I didnt make time or HAVE time for my husband like I should have! I am so glad school is over and we can now enjoy each other again!

I am just so happy if you cant tell :) Just wanted to share it with yall! Today Kelley and I are going to lay out at her Aunts! Hudson may even get in the water if its warm enough! But if not her cousin Sarah is going to play with him inside! Ill post pool pics soon!

I took the HESI for the 2nd time yesterday (we only get 3 attempts to pass) and I passed with flying colors! I am SOO happy! This last semester has been so tough on me, being pregnant, having a baby and going back a week later,and my sister in law passing away... I feel like Alex and I have had such a rough year so far and its makes me so thankful for my accomplishments. Now I can get my temporary license and start working and register to take the NCLEX! I am not worried at all about the NCLEX because they say that the HESI is much harder! Thanks so much to everyone for your words of encouragement and prayers! Couldnt have done it without yall!!

Now off to Monticello to enjoy Lindsays wedding!!!

Not a whole lot has been going on with the Harvey's lately! Enjoying being done with school but still having to study for 2 more tests I have to pass before I start work! I am planning to apply at UAMS and hopefully can get employed there!

Alex has been super busy at work and Hudson is getting bigger and bigger everyday! He is almost 5 months old now! Gosh time flys! He is almost able to sit up on his own! And he is starting to laugh out loud! It is so cute! Kelley's Aunt lives in Alexander close to us and has a pool :) Her little cousin is 13 or 14 and she is just crazy about Hudson! So me and Kelley go lay out and she plays with Hudson inside! I have really enjoyed having a break but still being just right outside if he needed me! We did make a big step this week though! Sunday when we were getting ready for church i said to Alex "You think we should let Hudson go to the nursery today?" Im thinking he is getting bigger and doesnt sleep in church anymore and he is going to get restless! Well low and behold of all people Alex says "I dont want him to go in there... I want him to come with us" WEIRD! You would think I would be the one worried! So I said "Okay but your going to hold him because I want to be able to enjoy the service and look at the scriptures" he agreed and off we went. Well of course throughout all the music he was good because he loves music... well like any kid, the preacher started talking and he got restless, and if you know Alex you know he paniced of course! Worried that he was disturbing others... so he gave in and took him to the nursery for the last 20 minutes of the service! When we went to get him he was swinging and kicking his feet around! It was soo cute! I think he really liked it! And it was very nice with plenty of help! He will definately be going back next time!

This weekend we will be in Monticello for Lindsay's wedding! The rehearsal is Friday night and then the wedding is Saturday! Im really excited about getting to see everyone and see Lindsay on the big day! She is a nervous wreck!

Dana, Alex's step mom, has come down alot and watched Hudson for me so I could study throughout my semester. She doesnt work so its easy for her to come! Well I asked her to come down this week so I could study and she talked me into letting her take him home with her... TO MENA!!! I couldnt believe I actually agreed but his dad and little brother were wanting to see Hudson too! And I know that Dana is great with him. So she got him Sunday night and I studyed all day yesterday and plan to study today then he is coming home tonight! I have missed him SO MUCH! LOL and its only been a little over one day! She has been sending me pictures and texting me non stop though!

Since we were childless, Alex and I had decided on Sunday that we would go to dinner at WestEnd because he has never been there and that way we could do something fun! Well Kelley's Aunt has introduced her to this new guy who she got stuck going on a blind date with so I told them to join us! So we all four went to WestEnd lastnight and had dinner and a few drinks and played pool! It was so much fun! It was our first outing since we had Hudson! It was really good for us! And we LOVED her date! Him and Alex had so much in common and we decided even if Kelley doesnt like him we are still going to hang out with him! LOL

We have really been LOVING this warm weather!! Most days when Hudson takes his afternoon nap, I slip on my bathing suit and lay out on the deck for an hour!! Lindsays wedding is next weekend and I have NO time to go to the tanning bed so Im trying to get some sort of summer glow! Me and Hudson went over to Kelley's aunt's pool the other day with Kelley, Hannah, and Ava though! That was a fun experience! The water was still pretty cold so Hudson played with some toyed under a shade tree instead! I do have a picture of him with his swimsuit and all on though!

We had Lindsays Bachelorette Party this past Saturday! It was alot of fun! First time I have been out in over a year! We went to Riverfest and to the Rivermarket and then all stayed at my house! It was fun to hang out with all my high school buds like old times!

Hudson finally had his first pictures made! I feel horrible but I was just so busy with school and all that I couldnt schedule them in until now! But I think that he is at a great age for pictures! He did so good! He was in a great mood and smiled throughout the whole thing! We have some really good pictures to choose from! I dont know how Im going to decide!!

I am looking forward to us having a free weekend! We have no plans at all so we can relax and spend some family time!

College Graduate!!

WOO HOO!!! I am now officially a College Grad!Dana took alot of pictures for me so I dont have many from graduation... It has been a while since my last post because I have been SO busy finishing up this semester! I took my final test and passed, thanks to everyones wonderful prayers and encouragement! It was a TOUGH semester for me, Alex and I have had a crazy year so far, so I am so thankful that we got through this semester and now I can enjoy my sweet baby boy! Now it is time to apply for some jobs!

Graduation was at 3:00 on Saturday, my family and Alex's family came to LR to celebrate with us! Graduation was quick to my suprise and we all headed to Cantina Laredo to eat dinner! I had such a great time and was I was so glad that everyone was there. Alex's dad and Dana stayed the night Saturday and we had planned on going out with some of my friends from class, until I realized I left my purse in my mom's car with my ID in it! So we obviously couldnt go downtown then! Maybe it was a sign! So instead we went over to visit Kelley and her Grandmother who is really having a hard time since her Poppa died last month... we listened to some Joe Cocker music with her! Ha! Alex and I decided we were glad we didnt go downtown because Sunday we got up early and after his Dad and Dana headed home we worked in the yard! We took Hudson's play thingy outside and sat him in the shade (with a hat and sunscreen on of course) and he LOVED it! All the neighborhood kids were outside because our neighbors just got a basketball goal, so he watched the kids play! Laken, Vinnie, Oakley, and my friend Kelley all came over last night and we grilled burgers!

This coming weekend is Lindsay's bachelorette party, we are going to all stay at my house so we dont have to spend money on a hotel! Im not sure what the plans are but I know we are going to Riverfest! Im excited about having a girls night! Mom is going to keep Hudson and get some pictures made of him by a girl in Monticello! I was so busy with school that we havent had his pics made yet, so Im excited about that! I think this is a good age because he is smiling and holding his head up good now! He can roll over from belly to back but cant go from back to belly yet! I know its coming any day now though!

I am so pumped about the Bachelorette starting tonight!!! And I cannot wait for the results of American Idol on Wednesday, I just have a feeling Kris is going to win!!!

Today is my 22nd Birthday!! Yay! All of the exciting birthdays are over and now Im just getting older! I had to post and tell about my sweet Husband though! Alex went to work this morning and Hudson and I got up around 8! Well when I walked into the bathroom on the mirror was written "Happy 22nd Birthday! We love you so much! Alex and Hud" and there was an arrow pointing down to a Zales sac :) So I scramble to open it up and it was a pair of diamond stud earrings! I was so suprised! I LOVE THEM! I am a pretty simple person when it comes to jewelry so this is the perfect gift for me! I usually pick out my own present or tell him what to get... but this year he did it all on his own! Yesterday I got a few birthday cards in the mail too from my Dad and Kara, my Grandmother, and Lindsay with some cash!! How lucky am I?

My grandmommie is coming up today to watch Hudson for a few hours while I go to the library to study! What a great way to spend your birthday huh? My big test is next Thursday so I am going to the library as often as I can until then! Be saying a daily prayer for me and this test! I need it! Congrats to my friend Amber (Nichols) Clark... she took the NCLEX on Monday and PASSED!!! Im so happy for her!!

We had a great time on our little vacation in Branson! It was so nice to get away for a little while and our condo was wonderful! We went to dinner at Fudruckers the first night and then to the indoor pool at our condo, the water was pretty cold though so we didnt stay long! Then Saturday we went shopping all morning at the outlet mall! We came across a lot of good deals! Then that night we went to the Dixie Stampede! We will definately have to go back when Hudson is a little bigger! He didnt know much of what was going on! Sunday we shopped some more and ate at Joes Crab Shack then headed home!

I finally have the pictures from Easter! We didnt take very many! It was rainy and not a pretty day, I wish we woul have taken more though! Oh well, here are a few!

I completed my Preceptor hours!! The next time I am in the Hospital I will be a Real Nurse!! I cannot believe it! I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! The nurses decided we would have a potluck yesterday since it was my last day! It was so sweet! I really got attached to everyone and it was sad to leave! :( I had so much fun though, and learned so many good techniques that I will carry with me throughout my career!

Dana, Alex's step mom, came down Sunday night and kept Hudson Monday and Wednesday whie I was at the hospital. Tuesday I had a free day so she talked me into going shopping! Of course our first stop was Babies R Us beause we had to get one of those bottles that you can feed cereal through! Hudson is going through a growth spurt and I cant keep his little belly full! I have started giving him cereal at night right before bedtime and he LOVES it! But it isn't making a difference AT ALL! He has been waking up every 2 hours to eat! It is exhausting! LOL He has been only getting up around 3 and then at 8! So this is a big change! So if anyone has any tips.. TELL ME! Dana, well I guess I should say "Granna", bought Hudson lots of cute stuff! Then we headed off to the mall! We had alot of fun, it was fun for me to get out and do something besides school! That night we met Alex and his Aunt at Copelands! yummy!! We were celebrating my birthday since they wont be down on my actual birthday!

Hudson is really trying to roll over now too! He gets up on his side and me and Alex get in the floor an stare and scream every time he moves haha But he has yet to completely roll over! Its coming any day now though!

OMG I almost forgot...my bestfriend Kelley got accepted into Dental Hygiene School at UAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SOOOOOOOOO excited because that means she is moving up here!! Her Grandmother lives in Benton so she is going to live with her! I am so excited!!!

Tomorrow morning Alex, Hudson, and I are going on our first family vacation! We are going with Laken and Vinnie and their litle girl to Branson for the weekend! We are so excited! The weather is supposed to be in the 80's too!

WORKIN WOMAN!

I have started my Preceptorship!! I mentioned in a previous post that I will be following an RN in the ER at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. My first day was Sunday! 6:30am-7:00pm! WHEW! My first 12hour shift! I absolutely LOVED it though! I have always thought it would be fun to work in the ER! I really like the nurse I am assigned to also so that made it ten times better! It was slow in the morning until about lunch time, then things really picked up! The nurses were so helpful and letting me do so much! I probably started 10 IV's on my first day along with blood draws and urine specimens for each! I went on Monday also and it was a little more exciting, we had a guy come in who had been stabbed! I just sat back and watched on him! It was pretty cool! I have a break today then I go back on Wednesday and Thursday! Needless to say I am pretty tired! I am going from not working at all to 48hours in one week! LOL Its so exciting though that I cannot complain! I just love everything about nursing!

I sure have been missin my baby though! 12 hours is the longest I have ever been away from him! But I am so thankful that I have family that are able to come and keep him because I just couldnt imagine sending him to daycare! On Sunday Alex kept him so they had some guy time! No telling what they did! LOL Then Monday my mom kept him! He is hangin out with me today and I am so happy! I have missed kissin on him and seeing that sweet smile! Alex's step mom, Dana, is coming down tonight and she is going to keep Hudson tomorrow and Thursday for us! I know she is so excited!
I dont have any new pictures to put up yet! But after this weekend I will have some Easter pics! Hudson has the cutest outfit with a little bunny on it! Well my little man is waking up from his nap!! Time to go play!! Hope everyone is having a good week!!

Well today was my BIG checkoff day at school to prove that I am ready and qualified to be an RN!!! I have been sooo nervous and had my head stuck in a book pretty much all week!! I appologize to all of those who have called me because I just completely removed my phone from my presence so I could focus! It is so hard to study with an 11 week old...anyone who has kids knows that! Well all of my hard work paid off because today went wonderfully!

First off let me share this story with you, on my way to school this morning I was nervous, doubting myself, it was raining and nasty which didnt help my mood... well I was listening to 93.3... its a christian radio station and my radio was set to that when I turned my car on ironically. Well there was a speaker on there this morning talking about how the devil causes us to doubt ourselves, have fear, and envy and greed... I really felt moved by it. I realized that God gives me all of the strength and abilities that I need. The devil is who makes me doubt myself and have fear. It changed my whole outlook on the day and everything went great. I passed all of my checkoffs! It is so exciting and makes me feel so good to know that after 2 years I do actually know something!!!

Now I will start my Preceptorship working in the ER at Saline! I have to complete 96hours of that, then take my final and if all goes well I will be done! I cannot believe it! I am so glad that I dont have class and constant tests anymore!! Now I can actually relax a little I hope!

The weather has been so pretty!! Hudson and I went for a stroll yesterday and he loved it! I should have taken a picture because I put his sunglasses on him! Ha! Too cute!

We were so glad the weather was so nice yesterday! I layed all of our outfits out for Church and got the diaper bag ready and set the timer on the coffee Saturday night so that Sunday morning we wouldnt be rushed and we could for sure make it to Church! So Sunday morning we made it! Hudson wore one of his new dressy outfits and he ate right before we left so he was very content in church! He loves music and stayed awake during all the singing... but right when the preaching began he dosed off (typical kid huh?)

It was so pretty outside after church... Alex mowed the yard and washed my car! He loves working outside... got a little sunburnt on his shoulders too! Hudson is still getting over his little cold so I kept him inside. I think in a couple more days he will be back to normal though! I had alot of school work to do so I worked on that all afternoon!

We got Hudson one of those tummy mats a while back where you lay the baby on their stomach and it helps them to build neck strength and learn to hold their head up and stuff. Well he wasnt too good at it about a month ago..he just kinda layed flat on the mat! Well we got it out lastnight and put him on it and he was so active! He was trying to hold his head up and kicking his legs around! It was so cute! I didnt get a picture but I will try and get one and post it soon!

I still haven't gotten my hair fixed! I just dont have time! We are on spring break but I have SO MUCH school stuff to complete this week! I havent even been answering my phone or having any contact with my friends :( I knew this semester was going to be hard having a newborn but GOSH it is killing me! I am so close to the end though. I am so lucky and thankful to have such supportive friends and family. Everyone has been so helpful or at least offered to help me out. It means alot. Well here are a few more fun pictures!

Bad News... Hudson is sick :( He has his first cold! I have always been told that breast fed babies dont get sick! NOT TRUE! He has had a stuffy nose for about 4 days now and today he just developed a little cough! It is so sad!I have been putting saline drops in his nose and sucking it out and last night we slept with the humidifier on. So hopefully he will get well soon so we can get out in this pretty weather!

Well I took him to the Doctor last Thursday to get his first shots! Luckily Hannah came with me for moral support! It was so sad! Here is a picture of him getting ready to go to the Dr!

Me and Alex bought this outfit a long time ago before he was even here! This was his first time to wear it and I thought it was so cute! Here is him at the dr getting ready to be weighed! So far everytime we have been to the dr he decides to have a poopy right when we get in the room!!

He now weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces! So he has gained a little over 3 pounds! And he is now 23 inches so he has grown 2 inches! He is getting so big and active and its so fun to watch! His smile just melts my heart :) He really enjoys looking at his mobile and playing in his bouncy seat. He is starting to really focus on things and is interested in all kinds of different toys! I put some new baseball toys on his carseat and he has just smiled and loved them!

The weather has been so pretty but I think that is what is keeping everyone sick! Its hot one day and cold the next! I am hoping that Hudson's cold will clear up soon! He doesn't act like he feels bad though... he still smiles and kicks around and coo's. But that stuffy nose and watery eyes and cough just make me sad! We slept with the humidifier on last night and I think it has broken up the secretions because I have been able to suck alot out of his nose today. I am hoping this is a good sign.

I had some drama with my hair! Last Wednesday I went to get my hair highlighted and cut! I was so pumped because this is my first time to get it done since I had Hudson! And I am finally getting back to my normal size and couldnt wait to get cute hair again toO! Well I had her put some low lights (brown highlights) in also because it was just too blonde last time. Well all the spots that were supposed to be brown.. are PURPLE!!!! WHY? I do not know! It is the craziest thing! Its like a dark plum color! Well of course I didnt notice this until I got home because I left the salon with my hair wet. Then, my hairstylist went out of town until Monday to a hair show! So I have been running around LR looking like a punk rocker mom! Hopefully I can get an appt to get that fixed soon!

My last test is Friday so keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer for me!!
That is all I know for now! I have a busy couple of weeks ahead of me with school stuff but I am getting closer and closer to the finish line and its so exciting!!

I know it has been a while since my last post(sorry Vinnie LOL) so I have alot to cover! Well last weekend Alex took off on Saturday and we headed to TX to visit his family! Saturday was Sydni's birthday so it was important to him that we went. As we were leaving StarBucks in Benton it started SLEETING!! We talked to Mrs.Cami and she said it was in the 40's in TX so we headed on! Once we got there the whole family got together and we went to Sydni's grave. Mrs. Cami had gotten a beautiful Birthday arrangement to put on it, and everyone had brought something special that they knew Syd would like. She has so many beautiful things on her grave. Everyone is being so strong and really leaning onto God through all of this. Mrs Cami is doing so well under the circumstances.. everyones prayers are definately making a difference. We had a great weekend visiting with everyone. We took a 5 generation photo with Alex's grandparents and mom! Its so neat that we both have 5 generations!

Everyone was excited to see Hudson of course! Alex's little cousin Brayley took good care of him too! She is going to be a good babysitter!

We came back Sunday night and went back to our busy week! Wednesday night we ordered pizzas and finally got to see Laken and Vinnie's house after they got all moved in! We are so pumped that they live closer now! It was Oakley's first time to meet Hudson too! She wasn't too worried about him though!

Alex had to work this weekend so we stayed home! The weather was so pretty too! Friday night Kelley came up and stayed the night... her grandpa is in the hospital at UAMS and just found out he has spinal cancer, so keep her and her family in your prayers. Since her dad passed away when she was very young her "Poppa" has pretty much raised her and been her father figure... On a lighter note I was excited she came up! We grilled burgers Friday night and Saturday we got fitted for our Bridesmaid dresses for Lindsay's wedding! The dresses are so cute! I still cannot believe she is getting married... and going to have a baby on top of that! We have been best friends since 4th grade.. its just crazy to think of us as wives and mothers! Ha! Kelley, Hudson, and I went shopping at the mall Saturday too! Then that afternoon Dad and Kara came by to visit! Hudson was being a little fussy, I think he was just tired from us running around all day! But he kicked around and cooed and smiled for Dad and Kara so I was happy they got to see his cute little personality he is developing! When Alex got off we all went and ate at AppleBee's then they headed back to Monticello!

Hudson slept 5 hours at a time last night!! It was great! Mrs. Kara mentioned to me that me drinking caffeine could be keeping him up... I never thought about that but it does seem possible! Well last night for dinner I had water! So I had no caffeine after lunchtime...and he slept alot longer at each time! So maybe she was right! I am going to not have caffeine after 5 from now on and see if this long sleeping span continues! Because it sure was nice! Alex got up with him at 4:30 and then I got up with him at 930! So I slept from 11:30-9:30! Thats a record for me! We didnt make it to church this morning though! It was raining up here and it was 10:00 by the time we were starting to get ready so we decided to just stay home. I didnt want to get Hudson out in the rain.

I am looking forward to clinical tomorrrow! Because it is my LAST ONE!!! I am so excited!! It seems crazy! I will start my preceptorship (aka interning) in April! Just a couple more months and I will (hopefully) be a Registered Nurse! After saying that, I need to get to studying!! I will try and update again soon!

What is going on with our weather?? One day we have on the air conditioner and the next day the heater!! I guess thats Arkansas for ya! It drives me crazy!

We had a wonderful, stress free, relaxing weekend!! Hudson and I rode down to Star City with my mom after I got out of class on Friday and stayed the weekend! Alex had to work Saturday so he came down after he got off! I made sure I had plenty of bottles prepared and Mom and Larry got up with Hudson this weekend so I could try and get some rest! It was great!Saturday Kelley and I had lunch and shopped around town in Monticello! I got a new phone and Im so excited about it! I got a Red Blackberry! I told Kelley I needed a "mom" phone and this seemed like the perfect one! I havent quite figured it all out but Im liking it alot! Then Saturday night Alex and I went on a date :) to the River Restaurant in Monticello with Kelley and her boyfriend which was SO fun! It was nice to get out and see some of our friends! We headed home shortly after dinner because we had Church Sunday morning and Hudson's baby dedication! We had him dedicated at my Church in Star City and he was TOO CUTE! He was wide awake, and looking around while we were at the front of the church! It was sweet! We are going to try and do another dedication at our Church here in Little Rock too though so we can invite all of his grandparents to attend! He had on the most precious outfit too...

I wish you could see it better because it has a little pearl cross on the front of it! It had a bonnet too but you know we had to show off that head full of hair! We tried to get a family picture but Hudson was not too excited about that..

Sunday afternoon the church had a baby shower for Hudson. We got lots of diapers and outfits and other cute baby stuff!

Well that is our update! We will be traveling to Texas this weekend to visit Alex's mom and family and to visit Sydni's grave. Her birthday is the 28th. Alex is doing good, and taking it one day at a time. God is amazing and is getting him through this.

Well thats all I know for know.. as usual I have to get to studying while Hudson is napping!!

Hudson is already one month old!! I cannot believe it! He is cooing and smiling now and it is so cute!! He just melts my heart! We had a great weekend! Saturday Kelley came up and me, her, and Hudson went to the mall! I got me and Alex both a new pair of jeans! Thats really all I was looking for.. I am waiting until it warms up a little so I can shop for spring and summer clothes! Hudson was so good and just slept in his stroller the whole time! Alex got off work around 3 on Saturday and that night we grilled steaks and shrimp and baked potatoes and rolls for our Valentines Day dinner! We knew that all the restaurants would be packed so we decided to stay home! The food was delicious!! Then Sunday we went to church for the first time with Hudson! He stayed in big church with us and didnt cry once! He slept for a while and then just looked around! Everyone was crazy about him of course :) After church we had lunch with Laken and Vinnie at Granpa's Catfish! I had been hearing good things about the food and it was all true! I liked it alot! Laken and Vinnie just moved out to Bryant so we are excited to have another couple with a child moving out close!! The rest of our Sunday was pretty uneventful.. we did some things around the house, then grilled some chicken for dinner. I had to get in bed early for clinical the next day. I only have 3 more days of clinical left though!! I am so excited about that! And 2 more test! Well I need to get off here and start studying for my next test!! Hope everyone has a great week!!

It has been a while since my last post... So much has happened since the start of this new year! Alex and I finally got to meet our beautiful baby boy! Hudson is here!! I delivered on January 16 at 6:06pm after a long day of labor!! Both Alex and I had our entire families there.. and anyone who knows us knows that is a BUNCH of people! After Hudson arrived and we invited the family back, there were over 20 people in the room snapping photos and videoing!! He was such a good sport too! He just looked around and took it all in! He is the first grandchild so we expected this excitement!! After a few days at home it was time for me to go back to school... I had Hudson on a Friday and went back to class the next Thursday.. and had a test that Friday! I had a great recovery so going back was not too bad. It is such a joy having Hudson here, he is such a good baby and we are enjoying parenthood more and more everyday! After seeing a home video of Alex from when he was a baby I have come to realize that Hudson is his clone! They look identical at this age! But Im okay with that..I think his daddy is pretty handsome :)

As our lives have been overflowing with happiness and love for our new child, we have also experienced a devestating tragedy. Alex's sweet 6year old baby sister passed away last Thursday Feb 5th. Sydni was very sick this past summer and stayed at Children's hospital for over a month without much hope of surviving... she pulled through though and we felt so thankful and blessed to have her back. Well last Thursday it seemed like a replay of her illness during the summer. Her legs were hurting, her face was puffy, she just wasn't herself. So she was brought to Children's in an ambulance on Thurs night and she lived through the night and went home to be with Jesus Friday morning. It has been devestating to this family. Sydni was such a blessing to everyone and such a beautiful, sweet, little girl. I dont know anyone whose life she didnt touch. All of mine and Alex's friends just adored her as well. Sydni collected Angels, and now she is an angel watching over us. There is no doubt in my mind that thousands of angels were at heaven's gates to great her on Friday morning and I just know that her smile was so big! Although we are at peace knowing that she is in heaven and in no pain, we still hurt because we miss her so much. Sydni was Alex's #1 little girl! They were so close... she loved her bubba so much! When they were around each other they were inseperable! Her passing has been so hard on him because he misses her so much and will continue to miss her forever. Alex and I believe that God gave Sydni back to us during the summer so she could be the flower girl in our wedding and so she could meet her nephew!We are so thankful that she was able to come down and meet Hudson.

Please keep Alex and his family in your prayers. It is going to be a long hard road but we are going to get through this together. One of Alex's friends sent him this quote and I thought it was sweet.."When you come into the world you are crying and everyone around you is smiling, and when you leave the world you are smiling and everyone around you in crying." This is so true. Alex's famliy is so close and has so much love for one another, I know that we will all pull through this together.

I had a test last Friday as well, the day after Sydni's passing. I am so overwhelmed with school right now but I am working my butt off to pass! It has been so hard though with all of the changes we are facing. I have a test every Friday and I am borderline passing right now! So please keep me in your prayers as well. This semester is my last, and toughest, and it has been TEN times harder with a newborn and a death in the family. Prayers will be MUCH appreciated!!

This year is already on a roll and seems to be flying by! I started school back on Monday with orientation! It went well and I am looking forward to this semester. I know that this is going to be the toughest one due to the fact that it is my LAST SEMESTER! Gosh, it feels good to say that! During clinicals we will be in total control of our patients and we will have 3-4 patients this semester as opposed to usually only having one! So I am excited to get lots of hands on, independent experience! I know it is going to be tough having a newborn at home but Alex is so great and supportive and both of our families are as well so I know it will work out the way God has planned. Speaking of Hudson, I went to the Doctor today and I am 39weeks and dilated to 2cm! He is inducing me on Thursday night at Baptist! I am checking in at 6pm and starting the delivery! I am so excited! We had originally planned on Friday so one extra day is great to me!! I will have a week before I have to be back in class! As long as the delivery goes well and my body handles it as expected then I think/hope I will be able to attend class! My mom is going to stay with us for a week to help us with Hudson and around the house! So that will be VERY helpful! I am really looking forward to his arrival!!! Keep us in your prayers! My next post will have a picture of a little baby boy :)

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! Even though we had to do lots of traveling, it was all worth it! We got tons and tons of gifts, as did Hudson of course! We are so blessed and so thankful to have such wonderful families! Alex got the WII so we have been playing it non stop!! It is a really good workout too! I have to admit that I was a little sad that I didnt get to wake up Christmas morning at my moms house like I have for the past 21 years :( But I know that new traditions will be made now that we are starting our own little family. I cooked my first Christmas dinner too for my dad and grandmother and step mom! Even had Christmas place settings and all! You have to agree that not many women who are 9 months pregnant would be willing to do that! Alex was off New Years Day so New Years Eve we went to Star City where Mom and Larry were grilling out and shooting fireworks! There were alot of rowdy kids there but other than that we had a good time! I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of Hudson. It seems like the days are dragging now that I am 11 days away.. my feet and hands remain swollen.. although it probably has to do with the fact that I cant sit still! I know I should be resting and keeping my feet elevated but I get bored to easily! I am constantly running around! Today is a yucky day and the TV is out do to the weather... yay for satellite! Maybe I will force myself to get some rest today!!

Well we have already started celebrating Christmas!! Wednesday night we went to eat at Copeland's with Alexs Aunt Angie! Since the weather had been so yucky Monday and Tuesday I had been cooped up in the house so I was excited to get out!Copelands is a great restaurant, they have wonderful food and they have a small jazz band that plays while you eat! They are famous for their Cheesecake so we all had to have a piece for desert!! Well Angie brought two huge bags full of presents into the restaurant and had us open them! Alex was a little embarrassed about it but I was excited! We both loved the gifts that she got for us... my favorite gift was a necklace with a pendant that has a little boy carved into it and Hudson written under the little boy! I thought it was so sweet and showed that she put alot of thought into it! I have been wearing it everywhere and have received numerous compliments!

Thursday night our friends Laken and Vinnie came out to FINALLY see our house!! They brought us a gift for Hudson which was a sling that you can wrap around you and carry the baby in! Its really cute and has a few different positions you can use it! I am excited about trying it out! They also got him a little hat which Alex loved of course! Then we all went to eat at Cracker Barrell! It was packed and I ordered something new which was a mistake on my part because I didnt like it! So other than that we had a fun night!

I have been having trouble sleeping because I am unable to get comfortable at this stage! And when I cant sleep Alex cant sleep, or so he says! Thursday night was a restless night so Friday we were both exhausted! My hands and feet are starting to get swollen and Im just not too comfortable anymore! But I hate to complain because I have had such a perfect pregnancy so far! Mom called me Friday morning and wanted me to meet her in Pine Bluff for lunch where she had some appraisals to do. So I headed that way! We ate at Chilis and went to WalMart then I headed back to LR! Alex and I ordered a pizza and rented a couple of movies and just layed low last night!

When Alex gets off today we are heading to Mena to celebrate Christmas with Alexs dads family! Hopefully the weather stays clear because we will be up in the mountains!! Well Im sure it will be a while until my next post! We have a busy week ahead of us!

Christmas Times a Comin!

Alex didnt have to work this weekend which was nice! I cant remember the last weekend he had off and he didnt have plans or go out of town! I know he enjoyed being able to sleep in and just relax!! He works so hard and I am so proud of him! He was blessed with a nice Christmas Bonus from Lander's too so that was very exciting for us! He has been taking an online class that Lander's set him up with where he has to complete a certain number of readings and tests.. he only has one more test to complete and they will send him to Dallas to take the final class and test that lasts 3 days and he will be Certified to work on Toyota vehicles! Which also means his pay with increase! I am hoping they will send him to Dallas at the end of Jan or first of Feb so that I can go too!!

Friday night we went bowling at Professor Bowl with Ryan, Dawson, Amber and Jason! I didnt bowl of course but it was still entertaining watching everyone else! We all had a really good time.. We got the rest of our Christmas shopping done on Saturday and I finished all the wrapping! We have so many presents that they will not fit under the tree! I love shopping and buying gifts for other people! So we are ready for Christmas!! Our Christmas Celebration begins next week too so its a good thing! Thursday we are going to dinner at Copelands with Alex's aunt and exchanging gifts with her then we are heading to Mena for the weekend to do Christmas with his dad! Then the next week we are going to my Moms on Tuesday night, Texarkana on Christmas day and my Dads family is coming up the Saturday after Christmas! So we have lots of places to be and lots of presents to open :) !! This morning was the Christmas Service at Church and it was sooo good! The choir was amazing and the message was rewarding too! After church we came home and ate some lunch then we went to Benton and picked out our Christmas presents to each other! We set a limit and just let each other pick something out! Its easier that way! I picked out a pair of black boots and black flats from Shoe Carnival and Alex got some sweat pants at Old Navy and 2 shirts and a movie at Target! We decided we would go ahead and give them to each other since we will not be home on Christmas Day anyways! I have been looking everywhere for some boots that I like and FINALLY found some today! Shoe Carnival has reasonable prices and they had the buy one get one half off deal going too so I got to pick out another pair! We have been relaxing at the house on this rainy day! Well, I have.. Alex cleaned out the garage! But now we are getting ready to cook some ribs and watch movies! I am mailing our Christmas Cards out on Monday so be checking your mailbox :) I have washed all of Hudson's things and his room is all organized and ready for his arrival... I know we are going to be very busy the next couple of weeks with Christmas stuff and he will be here soon after hopefully! I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions alot and its not pleasant! Well thats all I know for now!!

Well we had a busy, busy weekend!!! Friday night we went out to eat for Ryan's birthday with some friends at Gauchos! It was so yummy and we had a good time! Here are some pics from Gauchos...

Saturday I drove to Monticello for the baby shower that Kelley and some of my highschool friends were hosting for me! Alex had to work... I had so much fun and got so much cute stuff!! It was fun hanging out with everyone and telling old stories!! We are hardly ever all together at the same time!! Here are some pics from the shower!

The Hostess' were Kelley Rasco, Lacey King, Skye Atkins, and Lindsay Shue.. they got the white toy box and had Hudson's name painted on the top of it and filled it with toys and other goodies!! Kandace got him the UGGs which I think are sooo cute! He got alot of good gifts!!

The dresser has FINALLY come in too so here are some pics of his fabulous nursery!!!!!

I am so proud of his nursery!! It is so cute to me! All we need now is him! :) I am going to the Dr again tomorrow and will be 34weeks! It is almost time! My stomach is hard as a rock!! I feel like its about to pop! I have been pouring bottles of lotion and oils on my stomach to prevent stretch marks!! LOL Luckily I haven't gotten one..YET! Well Saturday after I got back to LR from my shower and Alex got off work we headed to Texarkana to his moms house for his little brothers bday party that was on Sunday! He just turned one and is walking and so cute! He had his own little bday cake that he tore into! We had a good time visiting with his family but had to head back Sunday night because I had a test this morning :( My final is Wednesday and I will be out until January 12th! I am so pumped!! Well thats all I know for now!!

It has been a while since my last post because I have been super busy!! We had a great Thanksgiving... Thursday we had lunch with my dads family and supper with my moms. It was good to see everyone and Alex and Ryan and Jarrod all went hunting! Still no luck for Alex though :( I had the whole week off for Thanksgiving break but kept myself busy... we put the tree up...and I made a special gift for all of our family members for Christmas (cant tell what it is though because I know they all read this!) Of course I went shopping on Black Friday! We have all of our shopping done except for maybe 3 people so I wrapped some presents too! Alex put up some Christmas lights outside and we have a cute light up reindeer in our yard! Ill have to take a picture when it gets dark and post it! Its cute! All of our neighbors have put lots of decorations up too! We have a very festive neighborhood! We had planned on going to Texarkana Saturday when Alex got off work but his mom wanted us to wait and come this weekend because its his little brothers 1st bday! Plus I was feeling sick all friday and saturday... I think I overworked myself that week I had off!
This is our pretty tree and fireplace! It looks much better in person and when lit up! I cannot believe it is already December! Christmas will be here before we know it! Then little Hudson! His dresser is supposed to come in Monday, hopefully, it has been backordered twice so far! Other than that his room is pretty much ready for him! I have been washing his clothes and getting things ready! Alex and I are getting more and more excited each day.

Saturday I am going to Monticello for a baby shower my friends are throwing for me! Im excited about seeing everyone! Then we are heading to Texarkana afterward! Going to be alot of driving..blah. I finished my last day of Clinical for this semester today!! WOO HOO!! And tomorrow is our last day of class! I am so excited! It has definately not been as easy being 8 months pregnant and I am proud of myself for staying strong and sticking with it! I know next semester wont be the easiest but I know I can do it. Especially with the wonderful support I have from Alex. I have already made my schedule for next semester and I have clinicals on Mondays and Alex is going to start taking Mondays off instead of Saturdays so he will keep Hudson while Im at clinical. Then I have Tuesday and Wednesday free and Class on Thurs and Fri from 12-3! So mom is going to drive up and keep him while Im in class! It is going to work out great I think. I will have Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun and half of Thurs and Fri to spend with Hudson! That is the ONE good thing about Nursing School..class is only 2 days a week and then one day clinical! Anyways...... Im about to start studying for my final!!

Alex headed back to the deer camp Saturday afternoon when he got off work! When I talked to him this morning he still hadn't seen the perfect buck so hopefully he had some more luck this evening! We are keeping our fingers crossed! My mom came up yesterday afternoon and stayed the night with me but I am all alone tonight :( Hannah said I could come stay with her so I may head over there if I get scared alone! Ha

Well Saturday my friends Hannah, Beth, and Amber hosted a baby shower for me!! It was so much fun! I was so excited just to see everyone because we have all been so busy with school and some people with work that we dont get to see each other as often as we used to! They had tons of yummy food prepared and the cutest cake ever!!! Not to mention it was delicious!

Everything was in browns and blues since those are the colors of his nursery! We played a game that was so funny....they melted different chocolate candy bars and put them in diapers (to look like poo) and we had to pass the diapers around and sniff them to guess the candy bar! HA! It was actually kind of hard but it was hilarious!
Most of my friends who were invited were able to make it which made me happy! I didnt get many pictures with my camera but I know other people took more so I will add more later! Well I dont have class all next week!! I am so excited! Me and mom finished up most of the nursery decorations while she was up here so I dont know what I am going to do with myself all week! Maybe wrap some Christmas presents :) Thursday we are going to Monticello and Star City for Thanksgiving with my family and then Friday we are heading to Texarkana for the weekend! Well thats all I know for now! Hannah just called and Im going to head over for a sleepover with her!

No deer meat yet in this house!! Alex had a great time roughing it at the deer camp with his dad and brother and I enjoyed my weekend in Monticello/Star City with my mom! Friday night I drove down and picked up Kelley and we went and ate at Cowboys and Lacey and Amanda were working! After we ate we went to the Monticello High School football game! Kelley is obsessed with football! LOL Plus my sister Jordyn is a cheerleader so I got to watch her too! It started to sprinkle and was so cold so we left after half time!! Larry stayed overnight in the hospital Friday night because he was having chest tightness and difficulty breathing and the Dr wanted to run some tests and monitor him overnight. So i slept with mom and our 3 dogs! The doctors think that he may have some asthmatic symptoms! It makes since though, he works on a farm around all that dust and chemicals and allergens! The Dr prescribed him an inhaler and some steriods and so far the treatment has brought improvement! Saturday I got some studying done and headed back home Sunday night to see my much missed husband!

This has been a busy week just like all the others! I have a big test coming up on Friday so I have been hitting the books all week! My clinicals this week are at Easter Seals which is a non profit organization for disabled kids. It has been such a rewarding experience! I first assumed that it would be a Nursing Home type play but it is so much more. They take in disabled children and help promote independence. Its more of a rehabilitation center, they have school for the school age children, physical therapy, and for those from ages 18-21 they have a work force. The nurses were amazing too. We will be out all next week for Thanksgiving and I am looking forward to that break!! Then we will just go back for one more week and be finished with this semester! It sure does fly by! THANK GOODNESS!

Alex is heading back to the mountains in Mena this Saturday to hunt again! My baby shower is this weekend so I am staying home! My mom is going to come up and stay with me! I am so excited about my shower! I feel like I havent seen anyone in forever because I have been so busy with school! Well thats all I know for now! Gotta get back to the books!

Well I told yall I had maternity pictures made but the ones that I ordered came in an album... its not individual pictures though to where I can scan them onto my computer and upload them!! Iv had lots of ppl asking me about them though so I went ghetto and took pictures of some of them with my camera! LOL So if they dont look great uploaded then get over it! Its the best I can do! I only did a few of them though because of course Im pregnant and I find nothing about my body attractive! Its just something that I did for my husband and I really and so I can remember this awful look! LOL I was 6 months in the pictures so my stomach isn't too big and she had a hard time getting shots to where I actually looked pregnant! I guess thats a good thing though~ Let me know what yall think!!

Well this past weekend Alex and I rode down to Monticello to visit my dad and step mom! Alex had to work Saturday so we didnt get down there until about 4:30 but we ate burgers and visited until around 8:00 then we had to head back so Alex would be able to hunt the next day!! I guess I am going to be a deer widow this year! ha!That is him in the picture above if you couldnt tell! He is planning on going to Mena this weekend too so that he can hunt! His dad hunts off of a lease and they paid for Alex to hunt there too this year so he wants to make sure he gets his moneys worth! Hopefully he will get a big deer!

Mom and Larry are back from Cancun and had a safe and wonderful trip! I am going to go stay with Mom this weekend when Alex goes to Mena so I can get some studying done! My second test is coming up next week and I wont have alot of time to study this week because I have clinical Tues, Wed, and Thurs of this week so that we are able to be off the week of Thanksgiving!

So tomorrow I go back to the Doctor for a check up, no ultra sound or anything special though. I will be 30 weeks! :) Dad and Kara have agreed to come up to our house for Christmas since I wont be able to travel and since Ryan lives up here too he can come! So I am excited about that. Hopefully Grandmother will be able to come too so we wont have to miss her either... She is getting old. Well its about time for me to start cooking supper!!

I guess its time we take our spooky Halloween decorations down now :( We will leave up our fall ones though! We had lots of trick or treaters just like we expected! We also got to meet all of our neighbors too so it was fun! Some of the costumes were so cute! I look forward to dressing Hudson up next year! We actually didn't run out of candy this year either! We had tons! Ryan and Dawson came out to hang out with us too! I made some Halloween treats, wish I would have taking a picture of them to put up! They were cute!

Saturday night Alex and I went to dinner at On the Border and then to see the movie Saw V! It was good but not what I expected! I thought it would have been better! But i guess once you get to the 5th one what can you expect! Sunday morning we went to Church and afterwards Alex went to Ryan's to play golf with him and Vinnie and I had to study all day! :( This morning was my first test in Pediatrics... it was a 2 hour test and extremely hard. We only have 3 tests this semester so it is crucial that you do good on every test, just one mistake can cost you the class! Its so stressful! I am so ready for Christmas break!

Mom and Larry are in Cancun this week so keep them in your prayers! I always get nervous about ppl traveling so far away! This Friday Kelley is coming up and we are going shopping at Holiday House! Im excited because Iv always heard about it but I havent been! I have already started Christmas shopping too since we have so many ppl to buy for!! I know Christmas is going to be hard this year because I will be in my final month of pregnancy and will be unable to travel very far, if Im even able to travel at all which makes me sad because Alex and I dont get to see our families near as much as we want to as it is so missing a holiday is hard! Hopefully they will come see us (hint hint!) LOL Well since I have a break today I am going to try and get our china put up and into the china cabinet! Woo Hoo!

We went to the Doctor again yesterday and it was a long visit! I had to do my sugar test and drink that nasty stuff! We did get to do another ultra sound though and wow has he grown! He weighs 2 lbs now! And Dr. Woods measured all his parts and says everything is growing perfect! We got a close up picture of his face too! My mom says he looks like Alex! Ha! I cant get too much from those pictures! So confusing! All I know is he looks precious to me! Since I am 7 months now I will start going every 2 weeks! Dr. Woods gave me my hospital packet and was asking me if I had registered with Baptist to deliver yet! I was like "WOW! This is really happening!" I still havent gotten much bigger but I have a feeling these last couple of months I am going to shoot out!

Kelley and Lindsay came over on Friday afternoon to visit and see the nursery!! They loved it of course! I had not seen Lindsay since the AUGUST so it was good to catch up with her! :) Kelley is pumped because SO FAR, unless we find something cuter, the outfit that she got Hudson is going to be the one he wears home from the hospital! Its baby blue and says "Thank Heaven for Little Boys" with a matching little hat! So cute

Well Alex and I went separate ways this past weekend! He went to Texarkana to pick up a China cabinet that his PaPaw and Memaw gave us! It is so nice! We got so much China for wedding gifts and have had no where to store it! There is a matching dining room table too that we will get on our next visit! I am so excited! I decided not to go with him and went to my mom's instead since I had so much studying to do! So mom and I had a good time just relaxing and chatting! I got some much needed rest for sure! I have been having trouble sleeping and from what I hear its only going to get worse from here on out! :(

Well today was my first day on the floor for Pediatric clinicals! I was actually in the OR though and watched a surgery. I really like Children's Hospital already! Tomorrow I will be on the Burn Unit though... I am pretty nervous about it! I already know that its going to be smelly, and sad! I was exhausted when I got home from getting up and 5 and having a restless night so I took a 3 hour nap!! LOVED IT~

The picture up top is the diaper bag set that Mrs. Cami got me!! I love it! I couldnt have picked out a better one myself! It is so cute!!! And I love how it has his name on it! This poor child is so spoiled! Mrs. Cami sent the diaper bag, a new outfit, and a few other things home with Alex this weekend and my mom sent an outfit, and towel and wash cloth set! LOL Mrs. Cami says she wants to be called "Nana" so we are marking that one down for her, not sure what Keith wants to be! My dad says him and Kara will just be "Grandmother and Granddaddy", Dana and Marty have not decided on their names yet and my mom cannot decide either! Larry knows he wants to be Papaw though! I dont know how Hudson is going to remember all of this! HA!

Well this weekend we are going to see the new Saw 5 movie! ScArY! Alex is so pumped! Friday night we will probably have LOTS of trick or treaters though! We are going to stay in and have ppl over and Im going to make some cute Halloween appetizers I found in a book my mom had!!

Another Week Has Passed!

Wow, I cannot believe its been 27 weeks! Hudson will be here before we know it! Hannah, Amber, and I started painting his room last Thursday so I have been so busy and haven't had time to blog! Me and Hannah finished up the painting Friday night! We are so proud of it! Ha! We think we should probably send it in to a magazine! I had no idea I was capable of such artistic work! LOL In the beginning I wanted to just pay someone to paint it the way I wanted it, but now I am so glad that I participated! It makes me really appreciate it more and feel so excited that I have prepared this perfect little palace for my little prince! Everyone that has come out to see it so far is in love with it too! I will post some pictures soon but I want to get the decorations and all on the wall!!

We ended up not going to the fair Saturday, Alex had to work until 5 and the people we were going with went at 2. But my mom and step dad came up instead so I shopped around with them all day which was much more fun to me than the fair! Ha My mom just got back from Gulf Shores and she brought back the cutest outfits for Hudson! His closet is packed full already! I swear, with four sets of grandparents...he is going to be so rotten!!

Alex's mom and sister and Memaw came by last night, they were in town for a Dr. Appt. and brought some outfits and a big gift basket full of onesies and towels and bath stuff! It is so cute!

Sunday after church Alex and I drove out to Sherwood to his GiGi's house to let her see the wedding pictures... we have to carry those pictures all over the map to get them to all of our family! Ha! Then Sunday night Hannah and Eric and Ava came over and me and Hannah cooked dinner!!

Well I started Pediatrics yesterday and am already nervous...they told us that the class who just finished Pediatrics before us, 40% of them failed!! Thats almost half! Nursing school is so tough! ugh! I can tell there is going to be alot of reading in this class! But hopefully I will learn everything I need to know to raise a healthy baby! Well I dont have class or anything today so I am going to take advantage of this opportunity to study!!!

26 Weeks down!!

Yay! I am 26 weeks today! I cannot believe it! The crib and bedding have both come in and I cannot wait to get his room all set up! I am going to try and get it painted this Thursday and Friday! I am going to take his bedding with me to Home Depot and get them to match the paint (this was Alex's idea!) thursday after my final! Yes my FINAL! I cannot believe another class is over! Only 2 more to go and I graduate! We are starting Pediatrics on Monday and I will have clinical's at Arkansas Children's Hospital until December! My last day of clinical's for this class was Monday..I was in the Nursery with the little bitty premie babies! They are so sweet... but I could tell Hudson was jealous because while I was holding other babies he would be kicking up a storm! Ha!

This past weekend Alex and I went to Mena, AR to visit his Dad, Step-Mom, and little brother. We had such a good time! His step mom, Dana, took me to have Maternity Pictures made by a photographer that she knows! I was kind of unsure about it at first because Alex's mom had already asked me about her sister taking some pictures of me and I said no at that time... but now that Im showing alot more I felt like it was something that I could cherish and didnt want to regret not doing it! The pictures turned out so good and I am so excited to get them back! It is such a crazy experience to watch your body change and to know that this little mixture of you and the love of your life is growing in your belly. I cannot imagine anything more perfect. :) I am so excited for him to be here... I think about his arrival all the time! I tell Alex that I hope he loves me as much as I love my momma! Ha!

Well this weekend we are going to the State Fair with a few other couples! I dont ride the rides, well I guess I cant now since Im prego but I usually dont anyways! But Alex does! He will ride anything! So I know he is excited! Im sure I will be wore out at the end of the night from walking around and standing up the whole time though! ugh! Oh well! Im still excited!

HALLOWEEN DECOR!

It has been a while since my last post...Not too much has happened though! We have decorated our house for fall so I thought I would put some pics up! My input is the pumpkin welcome sign on the door, the two pumpkins by the bench, and the scarecrow sitting on the bench! Alex's contributions are the skeleton hanging from the roof, the spider web on the bushes and the skull head lights stuck in the ground by the sidewalk! Ha!

This past weekend Alex and I stayed in Friday night because I had to study and we rented a couple of movies! Then Saturday he had to work and I went up to the library to type a research paper! Saturday night we met Vinnie and Laken at the mall in NLR and did a little shopping! Laken had some coupons to Gymboree (a kids store) and she offered me one so we picked out some cute outfits for little Hudson! Afterwards we all went and ate at Olive Garden..we had a giftcard to there also that my Grandparents had given Alex for his bday!! So we got lucky that night! After dinner Vinnie and Alex went to the Looney Bin Comedy Club and Laken and I hung out at her house! We had a good time!

Then it was back to school and work! My Great-Grandma Hollinger has been real sick since last Friday and on Monday morning she passed away... She would have been 90 years old at the end of this month so she had a long lived life! We were all at peace with her leaving because we were prepared and we know that she was prepared for it. It's still always sad losing someone that you love though :( I drove down to Monticello Tuesday after class... the visitation was at 6 and then we ate lots of food that people brought over to my Grandparents... I stayed down tuesday night then picked up my little cousin Abby from school on Wednesday and went to the funeral at 2. Even though it was a sad time I really enjoyed spending time with my family! I dont get to see them nearly enough living in LR so when we are all together it makes me happy :) Alex didnt get to come because he had to work Wednesday so that was the only downfall! I missed my husband!! I got to see Kelley too though... she came over to my grandparents to visit for a little while..she is such a good friend :) I got back late last night and had class this morning!

My mom came up today to get her hair done so when I got out of class we went to lunch and to get manicure's and pedicure's! She is leaving for Gulf Shores tomorrow so she is getting all primped!! Laken and Vinnie passed me as I was walking the loooonnnggggg mile to my car at school so after talking to them and realizing they were heading to lunch too we decided to all go togeth! So that was nice! Well that is all I can think of for now!!

I am having drama picking out my nursery furniture! I found the perfect crib and dresser set that I wanted in a JCPENNYs magazine! Well...when we go online to order and check prices...They no longer offer it in the color that I wanted! So that just threw me completely off! So I have been searching all morning for a new favrorite.. its so hard bc I want it to be perfect! So these are the two that I have narrowed it down to! What do yall think? I cannot wait to get his room all set up! I go in there all the time and look around ha but all he has is clothes and shoes so far!! I cannot believe it has already been 6 months! It is flying by.. he will be here so soon!

I am babysitting my friend Hannah's little girl, Ava Rose, this morning! Hannah has lab on Wednesday morning so I have volunteered to babysit! It is good practice for me and plus I am hoping Hannah will return the favor for me very soon :) She is so good too so its fun! She is 3 1/2 months now so she just laughs and goo's and gaa's ... so cute! Nothing like a little boy though!

Oh yeah... Alex and I had another crazy event yesterday morning! I swear something is going on! LOL Well we had just gotten the news the day before about not having to pay to have his truck fixed and that Ford was going to re-emberse us for the towing charges which was a huge blessing...well we get up yesterday morning and the REFRIDGERATOR ISN'T WORKING!! WHY!! Well luckily... we have another refridgerator and freezer in the garage so we just moved everything out there!! So nothing ruined! I swear its always something...but never anything that we can't handle. God is good to us! Well Im going to feed Ava some cereal and probably study all day!

Alex and I went to Star City for the weekend to visit my parents... My mom, Alex, and my Grandmommie all have September birthdays so we all went out to eat at Layne's Steakhouse Saturday night!! Yummy! We had a good time visiting and went to church Sunday morning then had to head back to LR soon after because he had work at 8 this morning and I had clinical's at 6:30!
In my previous blog I talked about Alex's truck being messed up..so we have been carpooling since Friday! Well luckily I have great friends and Amber Clark also has clinicals at the hospital right beside mine early this morning so I was able to ride down there with her and not wake up Alex at 530! He did have to pick me up at 6 this evening though! But we got some great news... whatever was wrong with his truck (he told me but it went right over my head) was recalled so we didnt have to pay a dime! So that was VERY exciting! So we wont be carpooling anymore!

I had a good day at clinical's though! It starts so early and lasts so long but it gives me the opportunity to do alot and get alot more experience! I got to give shots, do glucose checks, start IVs, and draw blood! So it was a busy day still! And since I was on Postpartum I got to take care of lots of mommys and see their little bitty babies! It sure makes me excited about little Hudson!

Alex has decided that since he has lived in Arkansas for over 3 years now that he is converting from a Texas Longhorn fan to a Arkansas Razorback fan! So my mom got him a razorback shirt with his bday gift and a little razorback onesie for Hudson! Its so cute! He has been kicking and moving around in my stomach so much today! He is getting bigger and bigger! I can just feel it!

Well thats about all I know for today! I am exhausted of course from my busy day.. so I am going to relax! :)

Well...when I said this blog would have some drama I must have jinxed myself! Because yesterday was no more less dramatic than Tuesday!!

I dont have class or clinical's on Wednesdays so its my free day to relax and catch up on laundry and things! Well Dawson and I had been studying when my mother in law called... Alexs little sister, Sydni, has been a sick little girl for a while now and we, along with the Doctors are still unsure as to why?! So they were in town going to a Doctor's appt at Childrens to have an MRI done. Well his 14 year old sister, Sutton, was also with them and she needed to get a dress for her Homecoming Dance coming up friday! So when Cami asked me to take her I was excited because I knew this would be a good opportunity for Sutton and I to spend some time together and bond :) So I picked her up and we went shopping for a dress and shoes! When Alex got off work he met us at the mall until we finished shopping! So we finally get the perfect dress and shoes and decide to head to the house and wait for Cami and Sydni to get done and we get in our separate vehicles and Alex calls to say his truck won't start!! UGH! WHY!! So we pull over by him and decide to call a tow truck and have it towed to his work. Thank goodness he works at a Car Dealership so we are hoping they will be able to figure it out and fix it! My husband is so handy and great with vehicles so I know he will figure it out!! So by 7pm I am STARVING and tired so we finally get home and I cooked supper!

I had to take Alex to work this morning at 8 which wasnt bad since I have class at 9...so i was just a little early today! Alex says they still havent figured out what is wrong with his truck! But we are keeping our fingers crossed!!

We are going South this weekend to Star City/Monticello to visit my family!! I have not been home since the wedding I dont think! So we are going to visit and go eat at Layne's (yummy) for Alex's and my mom's bdays!!

Our Dramatic lives!

My blog posts are going to be very interesting Im sure because there is always something going on with us!!

Well today is Alex's birthday... so being the wonderful wife that I am...I got up early...made him breakfast (toaster strudel ha ha) and made some of the wonderful coffee his mom gave us and woke him up! Well Ella, our little yorkie who is the love of my life, was a big part in helping me wake him up! She was excited and hyper and jumped and licked him! So needless to say she was very energetic at 6am!

So off to work and school Alex and I go, leaving Ella at home acting the same as the always does.... Well Alex usually goes home for lunch but since its his bday, a friend took him out to eat and I went and ate with a friend after class...

So when I finally get home around 1pm I walk inside and call for Ella, she comes running from our bedroom in the back...now this is unusual because she is normally waiting at the door for me because she hears me open the garage door.... so I make my way through the living room and notice a pile of yellow/brown diarrhea (yes this is going to get nasty so get ready)... so I put Ella outside knowing that she is ill because she does NOT poo in the house! Especially not on Mommy's new carpet! As glance at the couch I see 2 piles of clear/foamy throw up...oh lord.... so I continue down the hall and see another pile of diarrhea and some clear throw up and a random solid terd? Dont know where it came from.... so Im like OMG and calling Alex as I walk into our bedroom (I usually close the bedroom door when we leave but of course this particular day it was left open) well there are 6 piles of diarrhea in our bedroom and 2 piles of throw up... I am in a panic at this point. I start scrubbing the floors immediately. After I get it all cleaned up and I am putting the resolve under the cabinet in the kitchen I smell a HORRIBLE odor. Yes, my senses are extremely sensitive due to my hormones, so you can only imagine what diarrhea smells like to a pregnant woman. I look behind me and Ella is pooing in the kitchen... So luckily Dawson had just arrived and I scooped Ella up and wrapped her in a towel (just in case she pooed in the car!) and we headed to the Vet!! She never pooed but she did throw up twice at the vet... I was almost in tears... you have no idea how attached I am to this dog... So the vet gave her a shot of Phenergan to stop the Nausea and vomiting and some antacids to relax her tummy... we came straight home and she slept all afternoon!! The Vet said she must have eaten something weird...who knows. She is feeling much better now though...still sleeping but nothing is coming out either end :)

Alot of my friends have starting blogging and I figured that now would be a good time for me to start!! My Husband, Alex, and I recently got married on August 2nd and are expecting a little boy in January!! We have a BIG family who live in all different directions so I thought this would be a great way to keep everyone informed about our crazy lives!!

Alex works at Lander's Toyota and is taking a semester off from school...he waited to late to register and if I don't stay on my toes to make sure he does it...he forgets! What would he do without me :) I am in Nursing School at UALR and expect to graduate in May! I absolutely love everything about Nursing...now Nursing School is not my favorite...but I know I will love the job!

We just bought our first home in Alexander at the end of August....it is more than we could have dreamed of owning at this point in our lives. We are so blessed and we know it! We are very grateful!
